In 2009 the first Paranormal Activity hit theaters. The marketing behind this sleeping powerhouse of a franchise made audiences believe that what happened on screen was true. Now, 2012, with that gimmick long gone, we have arrived to the fourth installment.

In what might be our shortest episode yet, we review the extremely boring, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Not only did we try as hard as we possibly could to not fall asleep while watching it, we also concluded that Abraham wasn’t a very entertaining hunter and was in fact, quite a boring guy (I mean, at least have some fun with killing vampires, you know?).

We also discuss The Dark Knight Rises and have a geek-out conversation about the final installment in Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

Overlooking the fact that we’re 3 weeks behind, we return with our fifth episode of Welp, That Sucked! With our return, we bring you news that Adam Sandler is the straw that finally broke the camel’s back as we could only make it through 30 minutes of That’s My Boy before walking out.

Instead, we opted to review Oliver Stone’s latest, Savages, and go on to discuss movies we wish we had walked out of and conclude that Blake Lively really, really sucks.

We’re still trying to cope with the fact that at one point we actually wanted to see this movie, because Chernobyl Diaries really sucked. In our fourth episode, we talk about how bad the state of horror is and how this movie does the genre no favors, as well as briefly discuss the often-debated Prometheus.

Mike also takes a moment to express his disappointment over Rock of Ages while Ryan stumbles over his love for the new Wes Anderson film, Moonrise Kingdom.

(Also, we forgot to mention any redeeming qualities about Chernobyl Diaries. There were none. Unless you count the cool Marilyn Manson song that played during the credits that we happen to play at the beginning and end of this episode.)

We weren't exactly lucky this weekend as we painfully forced ourselves to sit through the latest Nicholas Sparks movie adaptation, The Lucky One.

In this episode we "politely" discuss Sparks and his contributions to Hollywood,

how a movie can be written so poorly, and whether or not The Lucky One is worse than A Thousand Words.

This weekend we braved the heat and humidity to spend a couple hours in the dark watching The Raven, starring John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe.

Needless to say, we didn't feel all that "melancholy" about this movie as much as we felt bored and disinterested.

Also in this episode, we briefly discuss just how bad Battleship was and how John Cusack becomes more and more like Nicholas Cage with each new movie he stars in.
