Job 22 – 24 (EHV)
1 Eliphaz the Temanite responded:
2 Can a man benefit God?
8 The earth belongs to a forceful man,
9 You send widows away empty-handed.
12 Is not God in the heights of heaven?
15 Are you the guardian of the ancient way,
21 Be reconciled with God.
1 Then Job responded:
2 Even today my complaint is bitter. [6]
13 He stands alone.
1 Why are appointments never scheduled by the Almighty?
9 The wicked tear away a fatherless child from its mother’s breast.
10 The poor walk around naked, without clothing.
13 There are people who rebel against the light.
21 He feeds on [13] the childless woman,
22 But God drags away the mighty by his strength.
25 So then, who can make me out to be a liar?

Job 20 – 21 (EHV)
1 Then Zophar the Na’amathite responded:
2 This is why my troubled thoughts make me respond again,
4 Don’t you know this?
1 Then Job responded:
2 Listen carefully to my words—
4 Is my complaint against a man?
17 How often is the lamp of the wicked extinguished?
19 People say, “God stores up a man’s punishment for his children,”
22 Can anyone teach God knowledge,
23 One person dies with vigor in his bones,
27 Oh, I know your thoughts
29 Why don’t you question those who travel the roads?
34 So how can you comfort me with your useless words?

Job 18 – 19 (EHV)
1 Bildad the Shuhite responded:
2 How much longer are all of you going to keep hunting for words? [1]
4 You, who tear yourself to pieces with your anger,
5 The light of the wicked has been extinguished,
1 Then Job responded:
2 How long will you torment my soul?
28 If you say, “What can we do to pursue him?”

Job 15 – 17 (EHV)
1 Eliphaz the Temanite responded:
2 Does a wise man answer with windy bluster?
4 But you even tear down reverence.
14 What is man, that he could be pure,
1 Job responded:
2 I have heard many things just like these.
4 I also could speak just like you,
7 Surely, he [3] has worn me out!
1 My spirit is broken.
3 Please pay for me the deposit that you require from me.
4 You have hidden understanding from their hearts.
6 He has made me a laughingstock among the people.
10 All right then—all of you, please come and try again,
12 They turn night into day.
13 If I wait hopefully for the grave to become my house,

Job 13 – 14 (EHV)
1 My eyes have certainly seen all this.
3 But I want to speak to the Almighty.
6 But now, listen to my rebuttal.
13 Silence! Let me speak.
20 Just do two things for me, God.
28 So a man rots away like a garment eaten by moths.
1 Man born of woman has a few short days,
7 There is still hope for a tree if it is cut down.
13 Oh how I wish you would hide me in the grave,
16 Now you count my steps,
18 But as a mountain crumbles and falls,

Job 11 – 12 (EHV)
1 Then Zophar the Na’amathite spoke up and responded:
2 Doesn’t this gush of words call for an answer?
7 Can you explore the essence of God?
12 Before an empty-headed man gets understanding,
13 But you, if you make your heart steadfast,
1 Then Job responded:
2 Yes, indeed. You are the people,
4 But I am a laughingstock to my neighbor—
7 Please ask the animals, and they will teach you.
11 Isn’t it true that the ear tests words

Job 9:25 – 10:22 (EHV)
25 My days are swifter than a runner.
1 With all my heart I am weary of my life,
6 You do, in fact, investigate guilt,
8 Your hands shaped me and made me,
13 You hid these things in your heart,

Job 8:1 – 9:24 (EHV)
1 Then Bildad the Shuhite responded:
2 How long will you say such things?
8 Yes, ask the previous generations,
11 Does papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh?
20 Certainly God does not reject a blameless man
1 Then Job responded:
2 Of course I know that this is true.
5 God removes mountains from their position,
I want to match words with him,
22 Here is why I say, “It makes no difference.”

Job 6 – 7 (EHV)
1 Then Job responded:
2 If only my grief could be weighed,
5 Does the wild donkey bray when it has green grass?
8 If only my request would be granted.
11 What strength do I have to wait hopefully?
14 A despairing person should receive loyalty [4] from his friends,
21 Now that is what you are like!
28 But now, please look at me.
1 Isn’t man’s time on earth like being compelled to serve in the army? Aren’t his days like those of a hired man?
7 Remember that my life is just a breath. [10]
Soon I will lie down in the dust.

Job 4 – 5 (EHV)
1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite responded:
2 If someone ventures to have a word with you, will you grow impatient?
10 The lion roars, and the fierce lion growls,
12 A word was delivered to me secretly.
1 Call out! Is there anyone there to answer you? To which of the holy ones will you turn?
2 It’s true, the fool is killed by resentment,
6 Disaster does not just spring up from the dust,
8 But I want to appeal to God.
13 He traps the wise in their schemes,
15 He saves the poor from mouths that cut like a sword
