Megan Morrone and Florence Ion discuss the recent vulnerability that McAfee discovered in the WeMo smart plugs that we've recommended. The WeMo plugs (by Belkin) could allow a hacker to compromise entire networks with an unreported buffer overflow. McAfee says they reported the flaw to Belkin in May and Belkin says they're working with McAfee to release a firmware update later this month. Megan adds that plugs are only insecure if you control them through the WeMo app and not if you control them through HomeKit.
