Hundreds of Washtenaw County residents will make their way to our nation's capital this weekend to patrticipate in the national Women's March for human rights. Even more will march and rally here at home.

200 people participated in a Martin Luther King, Jr. march hosted by Ypsilanti Community High School students. The event took place after students expressed racial and immigration concerns when Donald Trump was elected president last November.

Ypsilanti's city council amended its human rights ordinance to include immigration and gender identity.

Michigan Medicine's General Internal Medicine Dr. David Stutz was one of the authors of a new set of guidelines put out by the American Academy of Otolaryngology that advises against the use of Q-tips for earwax removal. By the end of 2017, the American Center for Mobility facility in Ypsilanti Township is expected to be up and running. It will serve as testing facility for autonomous vehicles.
