        • Review - Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio | Empire of Light

Director Guillermo del Toro finally gets his stop-motion Pinocchio onto the big (and small) screens. Empire of Light has a ton of prestige elements, but feels like it fails to go beyond surface levels.

Was Steven Spielberg really the best person to tell his own origin story in The Fabelmans? Were we feeling any chemistry in our bones for Bones and All? Also questions about the origins and intentions of Disenchanted and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special abound.
