We're Watching What?!

Minari might be the perfect film to watch during this horrid wave of Anti-Asian and Anti-Asian American crime in the US to help others understand that we're not different, we're all human. Then there's the visually unsettling and unnecessary Tom & Jerry to consider.

We were right all along (about WandaVision)! Plus the controversy over the Golden Globes and Framing Britney Spears (#FreeBritney). Finally we watched the timely historical piece, Judas and the Black Messiah.

Unfortunately you will probably not care much for I Care a Lot. In spite of the star power of Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci is not enough to make Supernova a stellar film. Finally there's the family friendly Flora & Ulysses.

Would we recommend WandaVision to our parents? Will Whitney Houston and Brandy's Cinderella hold up as it makes its streaming debut? What did we expect from Cathy Yan's Dead Pigs? Should we break up with RuPaul's Drag Race? All questions we explore on this week's episode!

Judas and the Black Messiah gives a skillful lesson for Black History Month. Barb & Star Go to Vista del Mar is the right brand of weird (for some). To All The Boys: Always and Forever stretches their characters too thin. Finally Cathy Yan's Dead Pigs is finally available in the US (just in time for Chinese New Year!)

For Valentine's Day we each got to assign the others a "romantic" movie (doesn't mean it had to be good though). Find out why Jacque, Matt, and THEDHK chose Ever After, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and P.S. I Love You. Also we cover the continuing weirdness that is WandaVision and remain loyal watchers of RuPaul's Drag Race even though we question some of the show's decisions.

Zendaya shows off her Ácting skills in Malcolm & Marie but does the movie live up to her talents? Bliss is far from delightful, and Earwig and the Witch lacks the spellbinding charm normally found in Studio Ghibli films.

Things are getting weird on WandaVision Episode 04 and Matt is convinced we're getting Doctor Doom. Jacque lays down her verdict on disability inspiration films via Penguin Bloom. Justin Timberlake fails to impress in Palmer. Finally we don't understand what the point of isolating out the drama of RuPaul's Drag Race to Untucked is when there's already so much filler in the main episode.

Three Academy Award winners do not an interesting film make in the crime thriller The Little Things. Justin Timberlake tries to put his progressive acting hat on in Palmer. Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes dig up some dirt (but not the interesting kind) in The Dig. Finally, Naomi Watts is wheelchair bound (but certainly not Oscar bound) in Penguin Bloom.

Things picked up at the end of WandaVision Episode 03 so we have updated theories! Jacque finishes Bling Empire. The queens are reunited on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 13 Episode 04 but we are underwhelmed...
