West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy is Now Open! 8am-9am PT/ 11am-Noon ET for our especially special Daily Specials, Smothered Benedict Wednesdays!
Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, “if you accuse your predecessor of a crime, you darn well better specify what that crime is.”
Then, on the rest of the menu, a lawsuit by right wing Oregon churches contesting the Governor’s Emergency Coronavirus Order raises thorny legal issues; Jackson County, Oregon Sheriff Nate Sickler is one of a growing number of law enforcement officials who refuse to enforce pandemic safety orders; and, the latest House relief bill includes twenty-five billion dollars for the Postal Service, but Moscow Mitch McConnell promised to push it out of a five story window at his Democracy Graveyard.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Russia is examining a ventilator type it sent to the US after fires kill six at a St Petersburg hospital, with more dead in Moscow; and, Bolsonaro is caught on tape in an April cabinet meeting revealing that he needed to change Rio de Janeiro’s chief of the federal police to protect family members under investigation.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
Bon Appétit!

"To those of us who believe that all of life is sacred every crumb of bread and sip of wine is a Eucharist, a remembrance, a call to awareness of holiness right where we are. I want all of the holiness of the Eucharist to spill out beyond church walls, out of the hands of priests and into the regular streets and sidewalks, into the hands of regular, grubby people like you and me, onto our tables, in our kitchens and dining rooms and backyards.”
