All humans, knowingly or unknowingly, wants their lives to mean something.

TODD STOCKER gave three principles to live by if we want to do this:

1. Make it about others and not just yourself.

2. Make it about giving and not getting.

3. Make it about serving rather than self-seeking.

Everything he mentions has to do with relationships.

Earlier this week, I visited our church’s website just to be reminded of what Landa said this month’s theme is all about. One of the things she spoke of was this idea of joy that has been lost due to various reasons. And I felt a great sense of connection to this statement. I knew then and there that joy is what I need to talk about should I get an opportunity.

Now joy is a terrible thing to lose, because it’s not like I can just choose to be joyful. It’s not like I can just choose to not be affected by my circumstances. Even though this is the message we give to people sometimes. Just be happy! How? Don’t be sad.

There are many beautiful places on this earth, and surely our perception of beauty differs, but the fact is that it often takes effort to be able to experience these. You can “visit” many places from the comfort of your favourite chair but you cannot truly experience them that way.

The same goes for the promises of God.

We all had a difficult year in 2021.

I know for me it was probably one of the most difficult years I have had in a very long time. I was challenged in so my areas of my life. Physically, mentally and also circumstances around me. I can however say.. that God is and was so faithful. That He helped me and lifted me up. Join us as Landa talks about how to reclaim your peace.
