We are a people who are sent by Jesus to abide in his love and bear fruit in his name as the spirit of God works through us. Is that our a-sent-sion?

Jesus tells his followers not just to love but to abide (live fully and constantly) in his love. Imagine what a different place the world would be if all the followers lived fully and constantly in Jesus love and reflected that love for others.

Jesus doesn't tell his disciples to add church members or increase giving, but to "bear much fruit." This is the way, he says, that we become his disciples. What would it look like for us to bear much fruit today?

The Good Shepherd lays down his life for others in order to pick it up again. Is it possible that those who follow the Good Shepherd are expected to follow his example?

John indicates that he has left a lot of what Jesus did out of his version of the story. Is he giving a nod to other gospel writers or suggesting that we should continue to look for signs of Jesus' presence or both?

The earliest texts of the Gospel of Mark dont conclude with resurrection appearances. We are left facing an empty tomb and the mystery that Jesus might appear in any place, at any time, as anyone.
