All members of a local church have been given the responsibility to protect one another from the grave dangers of sin - from mutual accountability against sin in our day to day lives to the severe case of the need to remove from the protective care and fellowship of the church a repeated unrepentant brother or sister for the sake of bringing them to repentance and restoration and preserving the purity of the body.

The mark of a spiritual person - one who has received the true wisdom of God through the Spirit - sees themselves and their ministry through the lens of the Cross. Who they are and what they do only bear lasting, eternal fruit when it is built on the sole foundation of Jesus Christ and him crucified for us.
