The Gospel of Mark | A Battle Worth Fighting | Brian Bloye
This week we are continuing our teaching series in the book of Mark. Pastor Brian helps us to discover why it is important to love like Jesus, think like Jesus and sacrifice like Jesus. It may seem like a simple three step process, but why is it so hard for us to really live this way? On this episode of the After Message, our host Chase Gentes and his guest Patrick Erwin have a great discussion on what this might look like.

This week we continue in our teaching series in the book of Mark. Pastor Paul Richardson skips to the end of the passages of Mark 2:1-12. Everyone is amazed any seeing Jesus heal the paralyzed man saying, "they have never seen anything like this." Pastor Paul states that if we live a life following Christ and striving to make Jesus known, our lives should be marked by remarkable things. Join our host this week, Tyler Newsome and his wife Hannah as they navigate the message in Mark 2.
When we left Mark 1 two weeks ago, in our "Gospel of Mark" series, Jesus was traveling throughout Galilee preaching the gospel and casting out demons. Now, we come upon a story that is one of the moving accounts in Mark’s gospel. It’s the story of Jesus engaging a man with leprosy. A leper was a person that the culture would have considered to be an outcast. The Jewish people judged a person with leprosy to be unclean. The fact that this man came near to Jesus, so close that Jesus could actually touch him was unthinkable. This brings us to think, "Can Jesus handle our mess"? Join our host this week, Tyler Newsome and his guest Jacob Whitehead.
Jesus Can Handle Your Mess | Brian Bloye | Mark 1:40-45
Yesterday, we took a brief break from our series, "The Gospel of Mark", because it was the National Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians. Vernon Brewer, founder and president of the World Help organization, was our guest speaker. He gave a heart-wrenching and convicting message about modern-day persecution. We have the freedom to worship Jesus and read the Bible anytime we choose here in America. Not all Christians have that freedom and that could be hard for Western culture to understand. Join Julie Rape, our host for today, and her guest Judy Rocker.
In a world and culture measured by productivity, achievement and instant gratification, prayer can get lost in the noise. The act of slowing down to pray and spend time with God feels foreign in our culture, yet we believe at West Ridge Church that “nothing of eternal significance happens apart from prayer.” Join our host Jason Chandler and his guests, Lauren Monaco and Blake Odgers, as they discuss this past week’s teaching on prayer from the Gospel of Mark.
