2 Corinthians 3:1-18

Are you living like your 2000 years overdue for an upgrade?

The problem of the Old Covenant:

·         The law reveals the heart of God to us (our values are on display in our rules).

·         It’s an act of love and kindness that God lays out the best life for us.

·         It exposes when we fail so that we can turn back to God.

·         The law can’t save us.

The power of the New Covenant:

·         The new cov can save you. It has the power to save you from sin.

·         This new covenant is eternal. It will never by replaced. It never fades.

·         The new covenant means the spirit works in us to change us to be more like Christ.

Indicators that we may be living as if we are under the Old Covenant:
Defending, comparing, justifying are indicators of our desire to define our own righteousness. 

How to upgrade to new covenant living: don’t look at the law … look at Jesus and behold his glory, his beauty. The spirit enables us to see Christ in all his glory.
