Tyler wraps up the last few weeks of Paul’s teaching on Sin with a wonderful message of God’s grace. In his message to the Romans, in Chapter 3, Paul reminds us that grace comes through knowing Jesus, and not from our own effort.

Our passage in Romans deals with the sin condition and judgment of God that ALL of us are under.  There are no efforts, no religion, no amount of trying to keep the law that will save us.  It is only by God’s grace demonstrated through Jesus’ death on the cross in our place and putting our faith in His death and resurrection that we are saved!

Today Steve continues our series on Romans with Paul’s message about works needing to be a part of our walk with God. It is important to remember that these works are not so God loves us but because God loves us.

Just and Kind

 

God is eternal, just, patient and kind. It’s His kindness that leads us to repentance. We need to keep watch and be ready for His return while we keep on serving and pursuing Jesus.

We All Worship Something 

The end of Romans 1 we learn that people are created to worship God. When mankind refuses to worship God it is idolatry. When we willfully reject following God and when we suppress the truth of His Word, the Bible says that God turns us over to those things we desire. That is a devastating and destructive place to be. We need to worship Him above all else!
