Kevin M. Kruse knows all too well that as Winston Churchill said, “those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” He has made it his life’s work to show how today’s issues have historic precedent and roots that we ignore at our peril. He is a Professor of History at Princeton University. He specializes in the political, social, and urban/suburban history of twentieth-century America, with a particular interest in conflicts over race, rights, and religion and the making of modern conservatism. His most recent publication is ‘Myth America’ a collection of historians taking on the biggest legends and lies about our past.
