Coming up this weekend at Lancaster Motorplex in Lancaster, NY, the 35th US Open Weekend.

The 35th US Open Weekend will kick off on Friday, September 22 for an open practice for all participating cars from 6pm-9:30pm, followed by a FREE concert from The 5D Band in the grandstand concourse. Grandstands are free to come watch practice on Friday night.

Racing will get underway on Saturday, September 23 at 4:30pm, with pit gates opening at noon, and grandstand gates opening at 2pm. Grandstand admission is $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and veterans, $15 for kids aged 13-16, and kids 12 and under are admitted FREE. Pit admission is $40. The Saturday program will feature the Monroe Extinguisher Sportsman, New York Super Stocks, Small Block Supermodified Championship Series, the Rusty Diamond Cores 4 Cylinders and the Mighty TQ Midgets.

Sunday, September 24 will be the 35th US Open featuring the Race of Champions Modified Series, Late Models, Budget RV Outlet of Buffalo Street Stocks, and the Rusty Diamond Cores 4 Cylinders. Pit gates will open at 9am, with practice and front gates opening at 11am, and racing will get underway at 1pm. Pit admission is $40. Grandstand admission prices are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors and veterans, $20 for kids 13-16, with kids 12 and under being admitted free.

Camping is available all weekend long for $20 and must check in at the gates prior to setting up camp.

One of the newest clubs on campus, the GCC eSports Club will be having their first general interest meeting of the semester on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 12:30pm in the eSports Lab!

The GCC eSports Lab is located in room T207 on the Batavia campus.

The Computer Repair Club at GCC will be having a general meeting on Tuesday, September 19 at 12:30pm in room D 205 on the Batavia Campus.

WGCC is airing a special presentation called Vinylthon! This weekend, April 22 & 23, across America and the world, an unprecedented 170 radio stations in 12 countries will celebrate the unique format of vinyl records by going vinyl-only on the air for Vinylthon 2023 — the first-ever weekend Vinylthon event.

Organized by the non-profit College Radio Foundation and open to all radio stations, commercial and non-commercial, Vinylthon is an industry-wide fundraiser supporting vital Next Step Radio Scholarships for students who are currently involved in college radio and who aspire to become professional radio broadcasters.

The newest semi-pro football team in Batavia, the Genesee County Spartans came to the studios today to discuss their upcoming 2023 season! 

Geezer Radio returned for a show that was themed "From The Eternal Pits", playing music that the devil would certainly appreciate, and talked about his memories on 90.7FM before the frequency changes hands and WGCC becomes an internet only station.
