Jill Tietjen and Barbara Bridges, co-authors of "Hollywood: Her Story- An Illustrated History of Women and the Movies."  The book talks about and celebrates the surprisingly prominent role that women played in the early years of the film industry.

Part 1- Matthew Goodman, author of "The Sun and the Moon: The Remarkable True Account of Hoaxers, Showmen, Dueling Journalists and Lunar Man-Bats in 19th century New York."  Part 2- Andrew Jampoler, author of "Sailors in the Holy Land: The 1848 American Expedition to the Dead Sea and the Search for Sodom and Gomorrah."  

We talk about the intersection of science and art with Dr. Thomas Carr,  director of the Carthage College Institute of Paleontology,  and Matthew Warren Lee, an oil painter who is a professor at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.  He has been both a volunteer and instructor with the program.  His professional resume includes a memorable stint at a research station at the South Pole.
