Gateway Technical College's  Bryan Albrecht  pays his final visit to the Morning Show to look back on his 19 years with GTC,  the last 16 of which were as its president.  Dr. Albrecht begins his well-earned retirement within a few weeks.

From 2010 - Rachel Fershleiser, one of the editors of "It All Changed In An Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure."  The Six-Word Memoir Project was created by SMITH Magazine (still in existence) which has gathered many thousands of six-word memoirs in which somebody seeks to summarize their life in six carefully chosen words.   This book is one of their published collections of such memoirs.  (Replayed by listener request) 

Sportswriter Jason Reid discusses his book "Rise of the Black Quarterback: What it Means for America."  He chronicles the slow emergence of black quarterbacks in the NFL and presents vivid portraits of an array of them, including the superstar black quarterbacks currently on the scene.
