Marc Strauss, author of "One-Legged Mongoose:  Secrets. Legacies and Coming of Age in 1950s New York."

Bryan Albrecht, the President of Gateway Technical College, is joined by his counterpart at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Chancellor Debbie Ford.  Also in the interview is Zina Haywood,  Executive Vice President and Provost of GTC,  and Roger Ducoffe, Provost at UW-P.  They are talking about an exciting new agreement between the two schools that has facilitated the creation of two brand new degrees. 

John Happ, author of "The Navigation Case:  Training, Flying and Fighting in the 1942-1945 New Guinea War."  The book is a fascinating examination of a largely forgotten chapter in the story of the Pacific Theater during World War Two.  Happ's father Len was a combat pilot who flew 64 combat missions.  He later flew numerous missions for medical transport.  Happ is giving a presentation at Carthage this Wednesday, November 3rd, at 5:00 in the Campbell Student Union Cinema.

Dr. Claude Clegg, author of "The Black President: Hope and Fury in the Age of Obama."  Dr. Clegg is the Lyle V. Jones Distinguished Professor of African, African-America and Diaspora Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.   

Dr. Richard Bjella, one of the country's most renowned choral conductors, is currently serving as Distinguished Conductor-in-Residence of the Carthage Choir.   The ensemble's next performance is this coming Sunday afternoon at 2:00 as part of the college's Fall Choral Concert.
