What 23 Has Taught Me

Listen Later

In this week's episode, we talked about growth, self-discovery, and learning to embrace the season of life you're currently in. Sometimes it's easy to look back at old versions of ourselves with embarrassment or regret, but the truth is that every version of you served a purpose. The person you used to be helped shape the person you are today. Your mistakes, lessons, victories, and growing pains all contributed to who you're becoming, and there's beauty in honoring that journey instead of criticizing it.

We also explored what it truly means to invest in yourself. Not just through goals or productivity, but by intentionally nurturing your health, faith, happiness, and personal growth. Taking time to introduce yourself to yourself—to learn what you value, what brings you joy, and who God created you to be—is one of the most worthwhile investments you can make. The more you know yourself, the more confidently you can walk through life.

Finally, we discussed the importance of letting go of the pressure to have everything figured out. You don't have to carry life alone, and you don't need all the answers right now. The right people will support you, encourage you, and walk alongside you, while God continues to guide your steps. You're not meant to have the wisdom of someone decades older—you are simply meant to be where you are. At 23, your job isn't to know everything; it's to learn, grow, trust, and be fully present in the season you're living today.
