What A Morning!

In the first ever episode of What A Morning!, and KJHK debut of George McGovernn and Richard Dickens, the pair talk about Mac products with Tech Shop employee Robert Grace, receive investment tips from Karen Thomas, with musical guest Suede By Perfection.

In the first fully preserved episode of What A Morning!, George and, apparently "Robert" Dickens, talk about the Caribbean with KU history student Tom Atchity and are joined once again by Suede By Perfection.

George and the now-named "Richard" Dickens talk with KU Student Senator Sam Schlageck about his political beliefs, including controversial land development in Lawrence.

Robert Knapp –– reader, poet, student, literary magazine person –– comes on the show to discuss and read poetry, and later The Jen Say Kwahs perform live in the studio.

Lawrence playwrights Jay Maus and Adri Pendergrass join George and Richard to talk about their latest production. Taylor Holenbeck, a guitar and a loop pedal provide musical entertainment.

We allowed these sports guys that we didn't really know onto the show to talk about sports and stuff. They sort of took over, but we tried to keep it from smelling too much like Axe body spray. And we talk about racism. DJ Spence joined us at the end to lay some beats and rhymes.

Local gaming expert Brent Smith talks with George and Richard about the impending release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii. The Coat Party performance that ended the show is unfortunately lost.

On Richard's birthday, George spent several hours talking to White Owl, guitarist Howard Callahan, Japanese freak group Peelander-Z, Dr. Steve Jenkins, and more. Richard Dickens is missing, so we search for him, calling his usual hangouts. He is eventually found.
