What Are We Even Doing Here?

Here is an exhortation I had the honor of doing at Faith Bible OPC during the evening service. May you be blessed by Psalm 1. And if you are in the area, please go worship with the saints at Faith.

Had the honor and privilege once again to exhort morning and evening at Faith Bible OPC in Brick NJ. This is from the morning service. I hope you are blessed by this exhortation in Luke 18 and Luke 19 comparing two rich men and how they both approach Jesus and how they both come away from that encounter.

On this episode I talk to a good brother in Christ, Coby Munsey. Coby has a youtube channel Rural Bible Reviews, where he reviews premium bibles as well as other Christian books.  We talk about his channel, bibles, and his love for the Lord and His Church. It was a blessing to speak with him, as he has been a huge encouragement to me, and I hope you are blessed by listening.

Also, please keep me in prayer as I begin seminary at Westminster Philadelphia this summer. Please consider partnering with me as well. I have a link below if you feel lead to contribute to some tuition costs. Thank you for your prayers and consideration.

On this episode I had the honor to talk with Pastor Jon Moffitt from the podcast Theocast. We talk about him and his show, as well as the sometimes-controversial topic of Lordship salvation. Please take a listen and hear his explanation of this subject, and why we must look to Christ for our salvation and not how well we follow Him.

Also, I mention on this episode that I am starting at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, PA this summer. I can really use your prayers in getting through the next few years while balancing family, work, and now school. My goal is to eventually plant reformed churches wherever God leads. This process is also a financial commitment. The seminary has granted me a matching scholarship where they match donations up to a certain amount. On the episode I may have wrongly said they match the total amount given. I did not mean to be misleading.

I am asking if you would also consider partnering with me in this mission to gain proper biblical training and receive the tools to study, teach, and preach the Scriptures so many can hear the Gospel and be saved and encouraged by the Word of God. Please don't take away from your family or church giving.

I have placed a link below where you can give directly to the seminary into my account. I thank you now for your prayers and support.

On this episode I was able to talk with Lee of Reformed Meditations about his podcast as well as life. We also get into a little bit about the Lord's supper. May this be a blessing.  Please go check out his podcast as he is part of the BAR Network.

On this episode I had a great conversation with Pastor Benjamin Glaser of Bethany ARP Church. We discuss church government and why it is biblical and important.  There is a structure that our Lord Jesus has given us for governing His Church and we talk about that as well as how the Lord Jesus has blessed Pastor Glaser with salvation. I pray this episode will bless and educate you on this very important topic.

60 Minutes to Go (Sermon that Ben spoke about.) https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=6860

This is a very special episode. It is the 100th episode. For this special moment I wanted to have the original cast. So my wife and a few kids have joined to talk a little about the importance of the Word of God, homeschool, and hamsters. I hope you don't mind the bit of chaos that occurs. Some of you will think back to our old episodes and remember when our son would occasionally make a little baby noise. Now you will hear him shout random words like, "dinosaur!"

I want to thank all you for listening and I pray this show is a blessing in some way. Looking forward to 100 more!

On this episode I talked with one of my favorite people, semi-retired Pastor Brad Evans. He and I met a few years ago at an open-air preaching training run by Sports Fan Outreach lead by Bill Adams. There Brad taught us in the morning about the preached word and did some open-air preaching with us at Union Square in NYC.

On this episode we discuss why the preached word is very important during the Lord's Day service and also why many churches neglect this call. I enjoyed my time talking with Pastor Brad and look forward to speaking with him again soon. May our conversation bless and encourage you.

On this episode I talk to James Dorman IV about his coming to faith while incarcerated and his now love for evangelism. Sharing the Gospel is something all Christians are called to do. It doesn't have to be intimidating. Of course, the first place for sharing is at home. Both James and I hope this episode encourages you to do something as easy as handing out or leaving Gospel tracts to share Christ with others.

On this episode I had the honor to speak with Pastor Mike Abendroth, Pastor of Bethlehem Bible Church in West Boylston, MA and host of No Compromise Radio. We talked about his show and ministry, as well as how the Lord Jesus drew Mike to Himself. Most importantly we discuss the sufficiency of Jesus Christ and what that means in preaching and the life of the believer. We also touch on a few other important things to remember for the Christian life. As always, we have a little fun at the end.

I hope you are as blessed and encouraged listening as I was speaking with Pastor Mike. Please check out his show, and if you are in the West Boylston area, stop in and worship with his congregation.
