Well we made it - 2019 is in the bag and the Golden Pig definitely had it's way! To say this year was focussed on change would be an understatement of gross proportion. But I'm just taking it all in stride and looking forward to what 2020 has to offer.

Remember that time when my uncle took me trick or treating at a shop that made and sold meat pies? Like a scene straight out of Sweeney Todd. This year I adventured into the haunted corn fields. All I can say is thank goodness for Depends!

Nothing pushes you outside of your comfort zone like backcountry hiking. This week Tina Hurley joins the podcast to share some of the crazy experiences she's had backpacking around the PNW. This lady really knows how to push her own limits and is such an inspiration. I'm looking forward to joining her on more adventures in the future. 

Year 47 comes to an end....and what a year it was. This year was definitely a challenging one, filled with trauma, change and so much good stuff. I feel very blessed to have experienced it all and I cannot wait to see what the next year brings my way.

We've been talking about it all year......The Enchantments trip was a success! This week I share my experience hiking up to Snow Lake, Lake Vivian and Leprechaun Lake.

This past weekend my band, Second Shift, hit a milestone. We played our first gig outside of the school. We played a backyard Oktoberfest themed party in front of 75 people. So much fun. 

That time I crossed the Vampire/Werewolf treaty line in order to backpack along the North Coastal Route of the Olympic National Park. An experience I'll likely never forget.
