What does it mean to be a disciple? During the 2022 College Retreat, Jamie Dew answers this question using Mark 10:35-42. Sometimes we have a false idea of what a true disciple of the Lord should look like. Jesus makes it clear that discipleship is about submitting to him—not personal gain for us. To be a faithful disciple of the Lord, we have to die to ourselves daily. It’s not always about comfort and peace, but sacrifice. Jesus is the perfect example of discipleship because he came to serve, not to be served.
