Death is ever present with us. We are reminded of it every day. Especially during this current pandemic. There tens of thousands of our fellow citizens and hundreds of thousands of people worldwide who have died of it. Extraordinary efforts have been taken to mitigate it, but to no avail. It isn't unusual to be frightened of the prospect of death. The Bible speaks of the fear of death in Hebrews 2:5. In this episode, Arnie and Fred discuss why men die, what happens when we die, the resurrection, why people fear death, why Christians shouldn't be afraid of dying and finally God's Plan of Salvation for mankind. Parents are advised that as discreetly as possible, Fred and Arnie will discuss Bible passages involving moral issues of adultery, incest and homosexuality, including one verse that refers to sexual abuse of children. We hear a lot these days about how intolerant and hypocritical Christians are regarding supposedly normal human behavior. This is true not only today, but indeed in the past, even over the past 2,000 years. There are synonyms for normal which include common, usual, regular, standard, and natural. Sinful behavior is what is normal among grown-up people, and even adolescents, although not all commit the same sins. And it is true that every Christian has acted normally in his past according to Romans 3:23-24, but ideally, he has learned to reject sinful behaviors and labors to live "soberly, righteously and godly in this present world". Take about 30 minutes to listen in on this discussion of the false charge against faithful Christians by those in the world who want to normalize and justify their sinful behaviors.

Arnie and Fred discuss what the bible says in Acts Chapter 2. Acts Chapter 2 begins 10 days after Jesus ascended to heaven. Jesus had promised the apostles that they soon would be baptized with the Holy Spirit which would give them power to be His witnesses. He told them to go to Jerusalem to wait where they would be endued with power from on high. They did so and we find basically three sections in the Acts Chapter 2 record. The phenomenon of Holy Spirit baptism is recorded as well as Peter's address and the life among the first believers who the Lord added to His church. Take about 30 minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your bible available to ensure that what we discuss is what the Bible says.

In this Episode, Arnie and Fred discuss the first chapter of Acts. There seem to be many people who don't consider this book to be very important. But there is a great deal of important information in this first chapter of Acts that relates what occurred in the 40 days Jesus was with His apostles and other disciples before His ascension, and the remaining 10 days before Pentecost. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we discuss and take about 30 minutes to listen in.
