Titus 3:5 says, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. It points to the fact that salvation and new birth is a gift from God, not achieved by us, but received. It’s God’s righteousness that we look to, made available to us by the death of Jesus on the cross . And that’s emphasized in Psalm 132, which is where we’re going today on Light on the Hill with pastor James Kaddis.
