A Zoom date for the ages! Me and my BFF Donny from @knowthatpod call a truce on our Monique v Candiace friendly feud and have a good ole' time! We talk Erika Jayne and the divorce (Dear Tom, it's expensive to be an exxxxx), the Kleenex/Candiace meme that had me fooled (I even told my mom) and the tweets we deleted cause we turned around on certain housewives...kind of.  Then we take a bite of a newly diverse apple and talk RHONY (I agree with Donny's husband and co-host Quinn, there is something about Sonya and her portrayal), we discuss Ebony and being named the first black housewife (where is Bershan??) and how Alicia Quarles was a straight up smoke screen!

Then we have a behind the music and I ask what it's like having co-hosts (have they had housewife level arguments-spoiler, no) and we talk marriages and friends in relation to marriage. Speaking of marriages, we head to RHOP and talk Michael & Ashley and non consensual touches (is this being overlooked), Ashley and her messiness, Gizelle and they way she lets words just fall out of her mouth, how we watch these shows and we like the housewife  we like, period.  And Donny makes a statement in reference to Monique, Candiace and the 8th housewife (the fight) that gives me the validation that I have been looking for from him...

Recording this  episode filled me with so much joy and I am really grateful that I get to call Donny friend...know that!

Join me and my Lilly-Pad aka @shesstartin as we talk about it all! We start with the Bachelorette (I'm trying to make her watch), the lawsuit that two black men tried to bring against ABC and the Bachelor/Bachelorette for lack of inclusivity (their response was what turned me off  from the show.) Next we get into  Beth AKA Bethenny Frankel and her unabashed love...of herself and the interview she gave that left us feeling...something.
Then we head down to the dirty south and grab some peaches on the way! We talk RHOA and Linnethia (we will miss you), the trailer (hey legs!), and the missing RHOA , B. Scott who always gets it right! After we leave Atlanta, we head back to the tension filled Potomac. We touch on Monique and Candiace (when do we not??), therapy and mental health and the importance of taking care of yourself and what could happen if you don't!

What Else Is Going On Podcast welcomes return guest @ohnobravo! And it is JUST what I needed! We recorded this on the morning of Election Day and talking with ohnobravo provided the perfect amount of distraction and fun! We jump right in talking about RHOSLC (ohnobravo was invited to speak with the RHOSLC ladies) and she assures us that we are in for the treat we deserve! Then we go south and discuss the charmless. We talk about Craig and his video with Tomi Loren and the way he talks around his support for Black Lives Matter and tries to pander to both sides and we discuss where we as viewers draw the lines with Bravolebrities (I suggest racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.)

Then we get into the Real Housewives of Potomac from the angle of a therapist (ohnobravo is an ACTUAL therapist.) We dissect the happenings AFTER the fight and some of the behind scene goings on that people don't or won't focus on (jobs being lost  and the actual horrendous on line bullying.) We talk about the way the viewers laugh at the post it notes but are ok with the musical number "Drag Her," both of which were said to be forms of therapy and understanding why the ladies may not have attended the live podcast show.

We touch on the anger people have at the women for addressing how the world perceives black women as opposed to being angry at the fact that their is a real reason why the black women on this cast (and so many other black women, myself included) have had to HAVE the conversation. We slither into where we fall with Karen and Wendy and their argument  and we both agree that Candiace needs to back away from Twitter...and Monique as well.
Her name is ohnobravo, but our discussions are ALWAYS an oh YES for me!

bravooOMG! This episode hit for me on ALL levels! Join me and Zack AKA BRAVOOOMG as we Zoom down pop culture/real life/housewives memory lane and I talk about Mary Cosby and the tea her uncle/stepson "S" spilled about the family in an interview.
But first, in real time, we talk about the fraudulent hate account that stole his profile pic and pretty much copied his Insta name (please go report it), how a certain dragging brought us together to create a friendship for the ages and we talk about the world of content and  appreciating content creators and the time and effort  they take to create (looking at you Erika Jayne) and the 3 housewives who reposted his memes and the ONE who gave him credit.

Speaking of content, we briefly touch on Bravo's Chat Room and how the hosts mesh. Then we hop onto memory lane and talk the movie Dream Girls and Zack names the former housewife couple that is Effie White personified and the current housewife who is the real life version of the Dream Girls soundtrack song, Listen. After which, we throw our Zoom kiki in reverse and go a little further in the past where Zack shares how he was bullied for being Jewish and how his school administration essentially faulted him and I share the first time I felt the difference of my skin color, in a non positive way.

We decide to lighten the mood and we talk RHOA and the peach cobbler (a plastic shield and a tongue), the RHOA housewife that is heard but not seen, RHOA and Monique and Candiace (they brought me and Zack together in the DM's), the RHOP reunion and what could be Gizelle AKA Gizzy's reckoning and the importance of using your voice to go and vote (this episode was supposed to be out election day but due to tech issues was a day behind-so we hope you voted!)

Welcome back to part 2 of me and the elusive Tatiana and our Zoom hangout!  We pick up right where we left. We talk about RHOP and season 3 when Monique and Ashley encourages Candiace to speak what she thinks immediately (funny how things change), how we see Chris Samuels as a solution based person trying to take the pressure off of his wife (hire the extra help Monique), Michael Darby and his consistent non consensual touches and the consistent support he continues to get (in house) and was Charrisse right about Moniques disposal of you when she gets what she needs? We touch on Karen and how she seems to forget her own rule (season 2) and we agree that Monique has NOT made all black woman look bad.
Then we swing by RHONY and talk about the Countess, head to sunny Beverly Hills to talk Garcelle and the other ladies,  we talk the Bachelorette...and reminisce about the time when Bachelor/Bachelorette Nation was pure (Trista & Ryan, and Andrew Firestone anyone???) and I decide I may need to watch 90 day everyday and Married at First.

Special Bonus Episode Part. #1 : Join me and the elusive Tatiana as we talk about What Else Is Going On in this Bravo world! We start by talking about the Bravo community (which is how I found her) and how grateful we are for it, how watching these shows can help you look inward (do we mirror some of these characters...er' I mean people), how she has to convince her fiancé to start with Bravo by watching Married to Medicine Atlanta (he is already a pro) and I share an experience with friends that Cory said had I done it, it would have been a housewives move (he knows the game.) We then get into her engagement and her postponed nuptials (they were supposed to be a week after Cynthia Bailey's) due to COVID, how she felt about seeing Yelly Dodd (thank you for that name @sunshine_grams) and Cynthia Bailey's wedding and her drink fueled rage Facebook posts about it (I have been there), Kim's surprise party that was shown on Keeping Up With The Kardashians (everyone had to take COVID tests and could not go in until the rapid results were received), and the fact that Gizelle said she left Cynthia's reception early because people didn't seem to be wearing masks, but there actually may be other tea as to why she REALLY left!

And speaking of Gizelle, we get right into Potomac and give our thoughts on what seems like a Gizelle v Karen fight for the spot of top housewife in the Potomac franchise, other franchises and who their HWIC (Head Wife In Charge) is, the OC and the unmitigated gall of Gina K. and her housewife run (WE ARE NOT WATCHING-this is based off of past seasons she has been on and the pictures we on social media now), we touch on RHOBH and the after show (it showed more of the sneak messiness of Kyle Richards), how they did Garcelle dirty (they didn't insert the clip of her and Lisa Rinna's conversation about her son and Lisa's daughter, but they insert clips on other franchises), Tatiana's like for Bethenny which leads us to revist Carol v Bethenny and the friendship breakdown. Then we jump BACK into RHOP and talk about Candiace and her post its, and Tatiana discusses what she (and me) think is the REAL genesis of the fight. And we end part 1 talking about why people have such a problem with Candiace and the help she gets from her mother versus some of the ladies that depend on their millionaire (is he though) husbands.

Me and Tatiana, Instagram's version of "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" have kiki after kiki in between using our arm chair psychology expertise in conjunction with our Bravo law degree! And I think we've defended our cases pretty well!

But first, we talk about how they got into the housewives, who pulled who in, what franchise was their genesis for starting (spoiler alert-the ones that look like us) and what is now their favorite (it may not be the same.)

We touch on signs and two of us are the same (you get the break down of an Aries-we da' best), they talk about the sagittarius sign and sag housewives or "sag the scammers" and how they start out one way and end up another ie: Sonya & Dorinda (oohhhh sorry to producer Cory-Sagittarian. But he responded...in post edit.)

Then we travel back in time and get into the OG's: Bethenny and if she's missed (uummmm...), Linnethia aka Nene (where have all the Nene's gone???), one of the most iconic RHOA scenes, theb pajama party (a red haired Kandi who was ready to drag long before Ms. Samuels), where we started to lose Nene, the unseen housewife of RHOA, B. Scott, and the breakdown of Kandi and Phaedra's relationship BEFORE the rumor reveal. And of course...the episode wouldn't be complete without the fight heard round the Bravoverse and beyond.

In this bonus episode I'm solo dolo! I go back through the seasons of RHOP and discuss Ashley, the magician (she's waved her wand and we have somehow forgotten the deep provocations and the true messiness of Ashley), how the Monique, Charrisse and Candiace situation are reminiscent of the Monique, Ashley and Candiace situation, and how Ashley gets the grace from the viewer that seems to escape Candiace (maybe because of the butter knife??)I talk about the conversations that are being had about what it means to "run your mouth" and if that warrants a fight (if that's the case then why aren't there fights across the board because that's what housewives do-run their mouths.)

 I then talk about the Vice article and the "respectability in politics" piece, even with the disrespectful undertones; lets talk about consciously avoiding associating stereotypical negative behaviors to black women, while at the same time using the word Becky as a negative to describe a fellow black woman in a stereotypical negative light, because she speaks a certain way. And I start to wonder if all of the think pieces and in depth conversations about black women on tv and what is or isn't our responsibility, is actually fanning the flames of conversation between people who don't look like us...and I wonder if it's truly necessary? Is this instance on Potomac really that deep? Or could it be that the fight was just that...a fight? And that's all?
It's a lot everyone...but in the words of Rinna, "You better believe I'm gonna talk about it!"

Join me and Danielle from the hilarious account @brandsbybravo as we talk about everything from how her and I met (a dm I sent could have gone horribly wrong), her main gig (she is SUPER smart), where she is from (maybe she will hold an apple one day; or at least be a friend of) and how she came to create her Instagram account Brands by Bravo. Danielle then shares her experience of visiting the holocaust memorial where she actually saw the names of her family members and the feelings it evoked and the similarities between Jewish and Black people. Megan and I have the best  Bravo Happy Hour  Zoom kiki as we discuss the shenanigans of our favorite (and not so favorite) ladies.  But first we start out learning about Megan and her awesome day job (she's a boss babe), what brought her to Bravo, what franchise reigns supreme for her (there are no worms in this apple) and the catalyst that prompted her to get back on the proverbial podcast horse (this isn't her first rodeo.) We then throw back housewives talk as fast as Luanne grabbed Ramona's vodka glass and sipped through the straw. Also, Lu just might be in the top tier of housewives when we deep dive into her ever evolving seasons (from THE Countess, to Tom's wife to the Cabaret Queen, to a Beach Body Volleyball player. ) Then we grab a flute of Champs and head to Potomac where we stay clear of the Barn and discuss Monique and Candiace and the sit down at Karen's. Eventually we head west to the OC and discuss Kelly the Covid Clown (Bravo's resident toxic megaphone) and whether the evolution of the housewives franchises is a good thing for Bravo and us the viewers or do we miss the housewives of old?
