I'm so excited to have my girl Kate Chastain @kate_chastain back on the podcast and we have an awesome reality kiki! We start out playing our couples game (I was close-ish to answering right) and then we jump right in to reality. We talk about our newest reality couple, Porsha and Simon and the timeline of the engagement, Porsha's new 3 episode spinoff, Falyn and her response, the Summerhouse reunion and Hannah, Gretchen Rossi and The Real Housewives of Orange County and we dip our toe into the Chat Room waters.

In this episode, I had the honor of talking to Deesha Dyer, the former Social Secretary to President Barrack and First Lady Michelle Obama. We talk about her early years and attending the Milton Hershey School, her college years that went a little different than she initially planned and the application she filled out as a community college student to  intern at the White House, that led her to become the Social Secretary to the first Black President of the United States.
We also talk about life post White House and thinking back on the 8 years she spent at the White House making history and the ways she continues to make history and impact our community.

Deesha is THE example of not being afraid to take a chance and bet on yourself, while creating a legacy. Because it's not about where you start, but the journey down the path leading to where you could end up.

This week I had THEE absolute pleasure of talking to my Clubhouse turned real life friend, Jared Alexander @thejaredalexander and it was just as great as I thought it would be! We started talking about the show Jared was performing in until the world halted, moving out of the city and back to his hometown to wait out what we all thought was going to be a short lock down (and ending up on the Hoda and Jenna Show) and the effect that this pandemic has had on performers and Broadway itself. Then we talk about our friends aka The Housewives. We talk about our Atlanta Peaches and the Soul of Bravo (Bravo still played us) our Garden State girls (Marge and Jen keep at it) and we dip briefly back into Potomac and the fight heard round the world, which caused some uncomfortable conversations. Which led us into conversation about the network itself, the way the world is changing and continuing to speak out on the issues that effect BIPOC.

This conversation made my soul smile...and I'm ready to order our BFF necklaces stat!

We also took a fun detour and talked about our cultures and the similarities. And the show ends with Zach singing us out to one of the best songs!

This week I got to talk to the one and only Larry from the Instagram account @bravobygays and we had such a good time! We started out with Larry's love language, talking all things bravo. We talked about our Juicy Peaches down on the ATL and our thoughts on the season, we talked about Dallas and its shining beacon of light, Tiffany Moon and we touched on our Jersey Girls. Then we took a bit of a detour and talked about our experiences being Lyft drivers (a rider gave me his dinner suggestion ...for himself), driving in the beginning of covid and the semi fear that comes with picking up strangers. And we got into Summerhouse and who Larry thought should stay and go and we planned our couples trip to Canada...once they let us back in!

This may have been Larry's first time on WEIGO, but it certainly won't be his last!

We start out talking about he and his husband's recent adoption of their daughter, the hilarious and absolutely sweet way he and his husband got together, and how he was only supposed to be in California for a few months...and it's been 30 years. Then we got into some reality tv talk. We talked about our Juicy Peaches down in the ATL and what's going on there, we touched on Jen Shah and the "alleged" telemarketing fraud/scam heard round the Bravo world, we talked about Dallas and Tiffany Moon and Summerhouse. And Les shares with us how he can relate to Carl this season due to experiencing the same situation.

On this Friday bonus episode, I had the pleasure of  talking to Kristen Gardner, creator of   "Driving Mom Crazy" and we had a great time! We talked about her blog, Driving Mom Crazy and its genesis, dealing with pregnancy and post pregnancy depression, and the importance of Mental Health. We then got into her converting from Episcopalian to Mormonism, her reaction to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City trailer and Kristen cleared up some things we saw on Salt Lake City. We ended taking about Kristen living in Dallas, our thoughts on the Real Housewives of Dallas and Tiffany Moon.

We had such a great informative conversation that wifi tried to mess up... but just when we got deep, that wifi straightened up!

Kids may sometimes Drive Us Crazy, but this conversation makes all the sense in the world and was needed!

In this episode I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of talking to Mani from Mixing with Mani podcast @mixingwithmani and her awesome fiancé Maya, and I had thee best time! We talk everything from how they met and became friends, the genesis of their relationship and doing a relationship long distance in college which leads us straight into talk about HBCU's (Historically Black Colleges) and PWI's ( Predominantly White Universities) and the effect they have on black people both short and long term. Then we get into the disparities in mental health and physical health treatment that black people consistently face in comparison to their white counterparts and what is still being taught to medical students about black people and just how harmful it is. And we end with me making plans to fly to Atlanta to have Maya get me in alignment and me pitching them the idea of me podcasting their wedding (the people would love it!)

Mani and Maya are amazing and so easy to talk to and I can't wait to mix it up with them again!
