On March 28, 1986, 18 year old Denise Pflum left to return to the location of a party she attended on March 27, 1986 to look for her purse, but the owner of the property later reported that he never saw Denise that day. She asked her sister and her friends if one of them could go with her, but because none of them could go, she went on her own. She did not bring her identification, or the carrying case or cleaning solution for her contact lenses. Then she vanished.
Esther Lucille Westenbarger
On Nov. 11, 2009, Esther Westenbarger, a 51-year-old Ohio native who had recently moved to Kokomo to be closerto her family. She went out for a night on the town with some new friends.
Police say she went bar-hopping at a few establishments and had a few drinks. She parked her 2005 gold Cadillac CTS at the Hoosier Bar on the north side of town and swung by Miller’s Tavern, about a quarter of a mile away.
At 1:30 a.m., she left Miller’s. Friends thought she might have been headed to her car or the Hoosier Bar.
That was the last anyone saw of her.
