The Menendez brothers were exhibiting some pretty odd behaviour directly after the murders of their parents, which initially led to suspicions, then investigations, and ultimately, charges and convictions for 1st degree murder.

In this Halloween episode of What Happened: True Crime Chronicles, we discuss the true crime behind the Amityville Horror, one of the most famous horror movies of all time. The actual events of the mass murder of a family of 6 people, including 4 children, one night in Amityville, NY were horrifying enough. Even worse, was finding out who did it.

In this episode, we discuss the case of off-duty Dallas police officer, Amber Guyger……who shot and killed 26 year old Botham Jean, in his own apartment, while he was eating ice cream on his couch.

She claimed it was a case of mistaken apartment.

This was a unique case of a white female police officer, who went against all of her training and shot an innocent, unarmed black civilian in his own home, and how the trial would play out.

This episode is about Canadian serial killers, husband and wife, Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka. Together, they abducted, raped and killed at least 3 young girls…..including Karla’s own little sister. They were nicknamed the “Ken and Barbie” killers in the media. The crimes were all recorded by the couple on videotapes and when the “tapes” were finally found, they showed how involved Karla was in the crimes….AFTER she had made the deal of a lifetime that allowed her to walk free a few years later.

In episode 12, I will be discussing the case of the 4 slain Idaho university students: Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chaplin and Xana Kernodle….and the man arrested for their murder, Bryan Kohberger. These 4 young people were found stabbed to death in 2022, in their beds, at their home near the university…….in a shocking, confusing and horrifying crime that shook the entire university district. Indeed, the entire state of Idaho…..and the world.
