In today's episode, we're talking about cortisol. If you wake up tired and wired… your cortisol rhythm is likely flipped. And no amount of coffee is going to fix it.

I see and hear the scenario on repeat. Stress, stress, stress…must have too much cortisol, belly fat is accumulating, sleep is fleeting and now the person is convinced they have ADHD.

Sure cortisol is related to stress metabolism, but that's only a small part, say 5% of its actual role in the body. Cortisol is really our rhythm regulator, the hormone that decides whether our brain is focused or foggy, our mood is stable or chaotic, and our energy is consistent and lasts through the day or tanks after lunch.
