Matt Davies is joined by former Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis McGugan and former Academy director Nick Marshall to discuss what it is like to make it at Forest and Liverpool, where Nick is now Assistant Academy Director.
We discuss the experiences of missing out on parts of your childhood, breaking through, isolation and loneliness, social media and the impact of suddenly being rich.
Nick was Lewis' academy director and went on to work with the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold at Liverpool. Both offer great insight on what it's like to play the game and the thing fans miss in the wake of Dele Alli's interview with Gary Neville on The Overlap. Hopefully you enjoy.
