  • Ep 6.9 Pt. 1 - Eating Like the Locals: What America Could Learn

Hey there, I’m Kiné Corder, the leading National Certified Counselor specializing in Financial Therapy for sleep. In this episode I’m sharing stories from the last four years of my life. I’ve traveled to many cities, but I’ve spent the most time in these countries: Portugal, Thailand, France, Mexico, Turkey, Malaysia, Monaco, and now Albania. Next I’m going to Dubai in February, so I’ll talk about that planning too. The lessons those travels have taught me about hustle, culture, and what it really takes to push through will surprise you.

I go into how small businesses run entire economies, why messy can be beautiful, and why waiting for perfect conditions is a trap that keeps you unhappy and in excuse mode. If you’ve ever felt like you couldn’t start because it wasn’t neat, or you were worried about doing it “right,” this episode is your permission slip to just go for it.

I also give you a behind-the-scenes look at life on the road, how the way people live shapes their work, and why authenticity sometimes looks messy but always moves forward.

Lastly, I tell you all about the food in each country. It’s fascinating and if you think America is the end all to be all when it comes to food, you’ll be challenged by what I tell you.

      • Ep 6.8 - How Should I Handle This Break-Up?

This episode is a little messy, a little real, and a lot of me sharing what it takes to push through and make a complex decision. It’s not the decision itself that’s keeping you up at night. In this episode I breakdown what's really keep you up.

I get fired up talking about what keeps us up at night, and today I’m answering and getting into the first listener message I’ve received for a custom episode. Her question is a mix of emotional, and practical, and I break down how to make tough decisions when money, relationships, and life collide. How to separate the emotion from the logic.

I also share lessons from my travels, the beauty of messy hustle, and why being extraordinary doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. If you’ve ever waited because you weren’t sure how to do it right, this episode is your nudge to start anyway.

The reason why you should listen to this episode is because you may need to trust yourself more than you do. I'm going to tell you how you can do that so you can stop letting ChatGPT make you ordinary. (see yesterdays episode for what I mean my ordinary.)

          • Ep 6.6 - The Secret Every Extraordinary Person Knows About Enjoying the Journey

In this episode I get a little passionate and maybe a bit preachy, but maybe you need a boost of tough love right now so get it from this episode. I have to tell you it's not my best work, but I am pushing through. I am staying consistent with this episode. I love the topic but I didn't execute it properly so I'll probably do it again later because the message is needed.

So, if you don't have a lot of patients with me today, just go to 12 minutes in and get the meat of this message. It's a powerful message about enjoying the journey.

I start with the episode question and it is a little complex: Are you ordinary, or are you extraordinary?

I say it's complex because you may not know how to be honest. Most people stay ordinary because it’s safe, polite, comfortable. The extraordinary don’t hesitate to claim it, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy and if you do claim it that means you have to live up to it. So listen to this episode and then answer the question.

And if figuring out whether you are ordinary or extraordinary is keeping you up at night, you can send me a message and I'll make a special episode just for you. You'll need to complete this form here: https://www.kinecorder.com/sleep-trio

In this episode, I get real about the journey and if enjoying it is possible. I talk about pushing through obstacles, enduring stress, and doing what it takes, and I break down what it actually means to be extraordinary. Stories from tennis, travel, religion, and life show why there's something else you can do if you aren't able to enjoy the journey. Whether you’re hitting milestones, climbing your own mountains, or just figuring out what “extraordinary” means for you, this episode is for you.

          • Ep 6.5 - What to do When the Unknown is What Keeps You Up

In this episode, we dive into one of my favorite topics, the Presidential Pause, and what it really means to rest without guilt or to push through with pleasure. If you’re a go-getter, achiever, or someone constantly thinking about the next milestone… this one’s for you.

We talk about that restless drive you keep pushing through even when your body, mind, and soul are asking you to pause. We get into the fears beneath your fears, especially the fear of the unknown, the only real one.

I will tell you about that in the episode. I’ll also tell you how that hidden, primitive fear can keep you awake at night. I share the perfect metaphor for how we all face obstacles differently. It’s about knowing which approach is right for you in any given moment. You need to know whether to hustle harder, take another route, or sit your butt down and think it through more.

If you’ve ever found yourself awake at 3 a.m. running future scenarios in your mind, wondering about the meaning of life this episode will gently show you where that comes from and how to make peace with it.

            Episode Question

What’s your biggest unknown that keeps you up at night? What do you not know that keeps your brain from fully resting?

Write it down or record a short 2–3 minute audio and share it with me. Let’s unpack it together. Complete the Sleep Trio form. Get the Sleep Trio tool and share your sleepless night with me.

          • Ep 6.4 - Story Time: Living in Albania for a Month

In this episode, I share what the start of this year actually looked like for me. Being in Monaco for a friend who lost her husband. Leaving France. Landing in Albania. Figuring out visas, travel, internet, Airbnbs, weather, and what happens when life does not go according to plan, but you keep going anyway.

This episode is about movement, decisions, uncertainty, and how all of that shows up in your nervous system, your sleep, and your sense of safety, even when things look fine on the outside. There are moments that are funny, moments that are frustrating, and moments that made me stop and really notice what my body and brain were doing along the way.

If you’ve ever wondered why travel, change, or starting over can mess with your sleep, this episode will make sense to you. You’ll want to listen all the way through. It’s story time, but you know me. There’s a lesson in there and a little inspiration too.

            Episode Question

            What country lights you up?

What place have you visited that you wanted to maintain a piece of in your life? That’s what we’re examining in this episode, because it matters more than it might seem. This is a clue into your idea of prosperity.

          • Ep 6.3 - What’s Really in the Way

In this episode of What Keeps You Up at Night, I talk about the tension between creativity and admin, and why those two don’t naturally play well together. Left unchecked, that tension alone can keep me up at night.

I also ask a question I use often in my work, especially in Session-0.

Question of the Day What is your biggest obstacle right now? What’s in the way?

Simple question that can bring you a lot of clarity. In this episode we talk about confusion, clarity, intuition, and why not knowing what to focus on can be just as exhausting as the thing itself. Talk it out can be helpful. That's part of what I'm doing here and getting you to do.

I share what’s been keeping me up at night lately, why this podcast matters right now, and what I’m doing differently moving forward.

            You’ll hear a lot about:

            • Why confusion is heavy and clarity changes everything
            • How creativity can become an obstacle instead of a gift
            • Why your brain needs to feel safe to rest
            • How to start prioritizing what actually matters right now
            • The details matter, so you’ll need to listen to get the full picture. One thing you may want to hear is why clarity is my job, and how I work with intuition when the answers aren’t coming from logic alone. I also talk about why this podcast has taken the path it has and what I’m choosing to focus on now.

I break down how I look at my own idea of prosperity and how you can start doing the same. Misalignment in any one area eventually shows up at night. I don’t give you all the answers here. I give you enough to notice yourself.

So answer today’s question. Do the exercise I offer in the episode. And if you want, tell me what keeps you up at night using the Sleep Trio form.

This is the first episode of 2026 and the return of the podcast with a new name. It's now called, "What Keeps You Up at Night" podcast. We took a long Presidential Pause, and now we’re back.

In this trailer episode, I share why I stepped away, why I’m returning now, how I plan to serve you moving forward, and what I need from you so I can give you my best and nothing less. This episode is about getting reacquainted and giving you the background for what’s ahead.

This podcast is designed to reach my target market of female founders who want external success and inner peace. That said, even if you’re not a female founder, you’ll take something away. We all have something that keeps us up at night.

In this episode, I talk about some of the common things that keep people awake. But more importantly, I explain why you may not be able to sleep, which are two different things. I know it sounds like the same thing. That's why I explain it.

We’re not just talking symptoms. We’re talking patterns. I also introduce my three signature questions. If you've been following me for a while, you know them. But if you're new hear you'll get to know them because I use them often.

The most important one is: What’s your idea of prosperity?

I ask you to answer it for yourself, and I give you seven specific things to consider as you do. Make sure you listen all the way to the end so you don’t miss them.

This podcast is live and uncut. Don’t expect polished or perfect. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about staying connected, even if it’s a bit messy. And I promise you the podcast will improve each week, until it is perfect. Well as perfect as I can get it.

Listen today. If you’re not subscribed, please subscribe. If you know a friend or a female founder who should be listening, send it to them. And most importantly, answer the question I leave you with.

I’ll leave you with a question in every episode. Reflect on today’s question, and I’ll see you next episode. In the meantime, you can always visit me at kinecorder.com.

About What Keeps You Up at Night

                From the publisher's feed

What keeps you up at night? Is it your wealth or maybe it's your health. Either way, we will discuss it on this podcast and get to the root cause. The goal is to help you fall asleep, stay asleep, and…
