Some pandemics have lasted as much as two hundred and thirty-eight years. It is beginning to feel like we've been that long - and more  - already. It's getting to Dave, and to Cami who has a problem with the Geometry of COVID-19.

Never eat more anything that is almost as big as you. If you do, you will probably die or at least have a bad case of indigestion...

It’s really hot. Seriously hot. Despite that heat, Dave & Rod are still here with your weekly look at what’s going on, even if they can’t decide on a new name for the show.

After months of pretending to go to school online, are students really learning anything?

On The BINGE, Rod is introducing his young, innocent child to a tale of Superheroes being creepy and destructive. Dave is back to his old habits watching history and travel shows. This leads us to the HISTORICAL RABBIT HOLE of the WEEK, and also to Rodbo’s BEER of the WEEK which Rod didn’t drink, but Dave did.

The debate over a new name reaches a new low. And there can only be one winner on the Patrick Krebbs Memorial Listener of the Week Award. If we had better Listeners they would already know that…

Sorry about that. It’s really freaking HOT!

In Minsk today, there is a Presidential election going on. You didn’t know that? The current President is an “authoritarian style leader.” Or, if you prefer, a totalitarian dictator. His opponent is the wife of a jailed YouTube sensation. which explains why the whole place is shut down today. It also raises some questions about what would happen here if the election in November doesn’t go the way some people want it to go?

Rodbo’s BEER of the WEEK is best defined as “robust.” Dave heads down his Historical Rabbit Hole that reminds us that all politicians are jerks. Even then one for which his home town is named.

The BINGE has the boys continuing their watching of The Expanse, but also the PGA Championship and MLB.

All in all, it’s a very strong and healthy, one might even say vigorous, strong, and rich in flavor and smell, episode of Do Not Resuscitate!

Dave has a terrible secret about towels that will finally come to light. If he can get down the stairs that is.

Rod has been confined to the couch with his bride to watch the most terrible and hideous show on television. Luckily, he has a great BEER of the WEEK.

Dave heads down a Rabbit Hole that started when he watched a movie he’d never seen before. It ended with the splat of David Hasselhoff singing with Men Jeong.

Microsoft is trying to buy Tik Tok, which is great because Americans seem to base their every belief on short videos and memes anyway. Which leaves the boys wondering if there is truth to the old saying that ignorance is bliss?

The worst job in the entire world would be the guy who has to clean out the pit toilets in a National Park (or anywhere else, for that matter).  Specifically, Yosemite National Park, where the tourons from "Asia" (being typical Americans we are unable to make a distinction), are pooping out the  COVID into the pit toilets in the park.

The numbers seem meaningless, but that is not going to stop Jay "Zero" Inslee from inflicting  Lockdown 2.0 on Washington State. Meanwhile, there are some things that we are missing in the news because of the COVID-19 crises. Including a plague of more than Biblical proportions.

More threats of more lockdowns lead to even less thinking on the part of people on Social Media. this is evidenced by the proliferation of Epstein/Obama memes, at least one of which is so wrong that you would literally have to have to be dumber than cabbage to believe it. Which is why it got posted more than once over the week.

Dave apologizes for being forced by other people to do something offensive a mere forty-seven years ago, and also did not win the Medal of Honor, although he is free to tell you that he did.

The BINGE is back, with  Rod taking on The Expanse, a sci-fi thriller about a war looming between Mars (of course)  and Earth. Dave, in keeping with the theme of the Memes, took on the four-part documentary:  Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich.

In honor of Ben's tenth birthday,  Dave violates his #1 Rule abut the getting into the Sharks Houses...

Rod doesn't speak French, or southern. we know this because his  BEER of the WEEK is a southern delicacy from Mississippi.

Should Teenagers be able to  "pre-register" to vote? As Ben is now ten years old, this might be an issue sooner rather than later. For Rod, it was an issue this past week as he took one of his kids to get a driver's permit.

Three strong competitors vie for the Patrick Krebbs Memorial Listener of the Week Award, but only one has what it takes to earn the top spot for the award.

And it turns out that Æthelred was really not ready for the St Brice's Day Massacre of November 13, 1002. The advice he got did not include just taking a bath and changing his clothes which might have solved his problem in the first place...

After a very busy  Independence Day week, the boys are back. Rod's daughter got married. The President's speech has generated a  flurry of responses from both sides, but one, in particular, had Dave chasing it down a very, very, very, weird rabbit hole. We have actually reached the point where a porn star's swimsuit is a bigger political storm than the actual politicians. Meanwhile, it's still true that it isn't "what" is said, but rather  "who" says it."

We forgot to award the Patrick Krebbs Memorial Listener of the Week award last week, so we make up for it with two weeks' worth of the award.

The Beer of the Week is a delicious Ale offering from the breakfast table.

And Dave is doing some research on the election of 1876, how it led to many of the problems we are having today. But... he found his way down yet another rabbit hole of a German-language professor who murdered his wife in 1906...

Is the protest  formerly known as CHAZ about to get "Red Pilled?" How do we even have a clue as to what to believe about what is going on? If we keep on "Doomscrolling"  we end up driving ourselves crazy trying to figure out what is going on in the glorious Peoples Demokratick Repulick of #CHOP, or anywhere else for that matter.

Facebook Memes are another part of the problem. Just because a given meme says that somebody you don't know and that you have never met said something that you like to believe that they would say or what you think that they might think, doesn't make it so.

Rod has an interesting BEER of the WEEK, and Dave finally catches up to the Chicken Pot Pie episode in The BINGE.

It's a busy week ahead as Rod heads out to Southern California for a major family event.
