May 08, 2022 Series Ain't Over: The Outsiders Talk about the Mavs Game 3 Win Over the Suns and Doctor Strange (no spoilers)
After it looked almost hopeless, The Outsiders suggested that if the Mavs wanted to get back into the series they had to do something different. They did, and it resulted in a Game 3 win.
The Mavs started posting Luka up and also swapped Frank Ntilikina into the rotation for Josh Green. Both moves were highly effective and just like that the Dallas Mavericks are back in the series. Being back on their home court also seemed to fuel the team.
Game 4 is another big one where a loss puts us right back into an almost impossible situation while a win changes everything completely.
At the end of the episode, Bibs and Reese talk about Doctor Strange in a non-spoiler fashion.

May 06, 2022 Show Me Something New Kidd: The Outsiders Discuss Game 2 against the Suns and the Mavs Hopes to Bounce Back
In game 2 of the series, the Suns hit the Mavericks with the rope-a-dope. For the entirety of three quarters the Mavs were right there but in the fourth, Chris Paul and then Devin Booker teed off on the Mavs and Luka had no one join him in fighting back.
Tony Brothers did his best to hold it down for the Mavs in the first half but it wasn't enough. Luka balled out but Reggie Bullock's 16 and Spencer Dinwiddie's 11 were the only two performances to produce double-figure scoring and almost every other performance was a disappointment. You can honestly lump Dinwiddie's performance in with the disappointments actually.
We move back to Dallas for game 3 and we will see what adjustments Kidd makes and if we can get some better performances out of the "others."

May 03, 2022 How is Maxi Walking?: The Outsiders Talk About a Rough Game 1 Loss to the Suns
Man, we lost. I don't know what you want me to say. The Suns looked like a well-oiled machine for most of the game and we looked like a young team that wasn't ready for the moment. Some players did settle down as the game went on but we were never really a threat to take the lead from the Suns during the game. Our defensive rotations were slow, the offense was having trouble figuring out how to manufacture scoring, and there was little Jason Kidd could do.
Luka ended up with a monster statline but for us to win games, the others are going to have to do more than they did tonight. I do have to give Maxi a shout-out for actually being the other Mav to show up though.
This was a weird episode. Figure it out as you go. lol

There was a lot of anxiety within the fanbase after a tough loss in Game 4. The Jazz were feeling good and the Mavs were remembering the recent heartbreak they've faced in the postseason.
However, that anxiety did not translate to the team as the Mavs came out and executed their vision from start to finish. The defense was elite and Luka and Jalen Brunson finally looked like a power tandem. Meanwhile, Donovan Mitchell, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Mike Conley played terribly and the Mavs won the game going away. The Outsiders were feeling good during this recording.

In this episode of the podcast, the Outsiders went a different way. Reese got his feelings out for 10 or so minutes, then Bibs did the same. After the basketball talk we did have a movie conversation and shared our feelings about The Northman.

April 22, 2022 The Mavs 2-1 start over the Jazz is not a fluke: The Outsiders talk about game 3, Royce O'Neal being a hoe and other things
If you thought that the Mavs success without Luka was a fluke, I think that game 3 just put that idea to rest. Everyone who played contributed in some way (besides Dwight Powell I guess) and the Mavs won their first game in Utah since 2016!!!
