Welcome to What The Heck season 2! This podcast explores unexplained phenomena using stories gathered from various sources, then applies an academic research method to find theories and solutions for each one. So far, we've been unsuccessful in finding any concrete answers, but one of the stories we've covered has been solved. This week your host, Glen, is going to look at stories sharing the same theme. Today, we're looking at the disappearance of Genette Tate, the longest missing person in England. Genette disappeared whilst on her paper round in 1978. She had only just left her friends and hadn't gotten very far from them. The disappearance was national news, and the investigation lasted 20 years. What happened to Genette Tate? Was the police's suspect the correct one? Could she still be alive? Join Glen as he tells the story and looks at all the theories!
