In our first episode of Halloweek, Laura discusses how Elizabeth Krebs and other women throughout history have shaped Halloween as we know it today. Listen as she lures you in with a couple of cool, wholesome stories about Jack-O-Lanterns and apple bobbing and then just... ruins Halloween with the last one. 

Victoria dives into the story of the Bell Witch, a mysterious entity who supposedly tormented the Bell family in 1800s Tennessee, and also *MIGHT* have beat the absolute crap out of Andrew Jackson (lol). 

Laura shares the story of Travis Walton, who disappeared near Snowflake, Arizona in November of 1975. Six of his coworkers stood accused of foul play, but all claimed to have witnessed his abduction by a UFO on the way home from work. When Walton appeared unharmed five days later, he also claimed to have been taken by extraterrestrial beings. Laura and Vic dive into Walton's harrowing tale, and the ongoing debate about the truth of his story. 

Victoria tells the story of Gloria Ramirez, the "Toxic Woman", whose death made headlines in 1994 after several hospital staff fainted or fell ill after being exposed to her body. The girls also discuss fun ways to avoid exposure to COVID-19 when visiting friends (or more than friends ;-) 

Laura tells the disturbing tale of Carl Tanzler, a Florida radiologist who thought he found his "true love" in a young tuberculosis patient named Elena de Hoyos, going as far as to steal her corpse. Laura and Victoria also talking about bonding with their new roommates.

Victoria and Laura discuss two infamous stolen body parts, as well as a pool ravaged by college students and Victoria's cat's birthday.

In this episode, Laura tells Victoria the strange tale of Lawn Chair Larry who flew into infamy and our hearts using only his lawn chair and weather balloons.

Victoria tells the story and explores some common theories about the 1959 Dyatlov Pass Incident, in which a group of young Russian hikers died under mysterious and disturbing circumstances.
