On this episode of Pawd Slama Jama, hosts Andy Yanez (@AYanez_5) and Da’Yon Dunlap (@DayonDunlap) wrap up talk about the Houston Cougars’ game against the UTSA Roadrunners on Sept. 3, including what head coach Dana Holgorsen thought about the offensive line and using Clayton Tune in the run game, defensive takeaways from Doug Belk and Donavan Mutin; and lastly a look ahead at the Red Raiders and what they excel in.

Senior LB Donavan Mutin said he is happy the Cougars had a bit of a wake-up call against the Roadrunners and thinks it will help the team in the long run when they take on the Roadrunners and future opponents. Doug Belk says his defense continues to lay the foundation for what it can be in 2022.

Lastly, the duo looks ahead at the Texas Tech matchup, including hearing what Mutin and Belk said will be two disruptors on the Red Raiders’ offense in running backs Tahj Brooks and SaRodorick Thompson. The hosts also talk about how Texas Tech wants to play an up-tempo style and more!
