Happy New Year, everyone!  After critical wins over Arkansas and Cincinnati (with a sloppy MTSU win sandwiched in between), this Cougar team is 13-1 and 1-0 in XII play.  It was a statement win on national TV vs Calipari's Arkansas team, where the Cougar offense was fast, flowing, and in peak form.  Two more wins ended 2025 and opened conference play to start January.  The Coogs are now ranked No. 7 in the AP, with two in-state rivals on deck in Texas Tech & Baylor.

The No. 13 Texas Longhorns will be without some key players when they head to Florida to take on the Michigan Wolverines, who are somehow even more in flux.

They recently named Kyle Wittingham as their permanent head coach, who will take over for Biff Pogi, who led the charge following Sherrone Moore's firing earlier in December. They will be missing their two best pass rushers, an NFL-caliber offensive lineman, and will have a new playcaller for the offense.

Following a lackadaisical start that put FIU up 14-0 through the first five minutes, UTSA snaps into game mode to go on a 57-6 barrage and secure their third straight bowl win. The victory also secured the Roadrunners a winning record in 2025, finishing 7-6 for the second straight season. While hoisting hardware is a great way to end the up-and-down season, Jeff Traylor must quickly shift his focus to the most important offseason of his collegiate coaching career - hiring an offensive coordinator and reloading a defense that has seen mass exodus to the transfer portal.
