9PM | THE CW — The 100 On the season premiere, some of the surviving prisoners are scoping out a mysterious new planet to (hopefully) inhabit after that destructive Earthly battle in the season 5 finale against Wonkru—who are facing the repercussions of their actions. 8 PM | ABC — The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story Tyler Aquilina gave this one a B. As this doc reiterates frequently, there’s no replacing Freddie Mercury. But by some miracle, someone came along with the vocal range and stage persona required to take on the mantle of Queen’s frontman.

10PM | NBC — The Blacklist In the second hour of The Blacklist’s two-episode event, Red (James Spader) won’t be the star—and neither will Liz (Megan Boone). Instead, the drama will target Liz’s mother, the enigmatic Katarina Rostova (guest star Lotte Verbeek), and her turbulent spy history in what EP Jon Bokenkamp calls “essentially a 45-minute independent film that dives deep into the mythology.” “It’s a departure for us,” he explains.

8PM | FOX — Gotham Darren Franich gave the season finale a B. All hail Cameron Monaghan, whose delirious guest-star performance(s) as various Joker-ian baddies was the lingering darkness on the edge of Gotham’s town. Monaghan returns madder than ever for the prequel’s final hour, which leaps forward a decade to a new dawn of caped crusades. It’s an occasionally awkward wrap-up, an epilogue-prologue origin that makes debatable decisions with the main ensemble.

STREAMING | YOUTUBE PREMIUM — Cobra Kai Is Johnny about to get another chance to finish him?! In the season premiere, Daniel decides to open his own dojo, Miyagi-Do (awww!), after Cobra Kai’s recent championship win, fueling their personal feud and making their students choose who they want to follow. 9PM | THE CW — Roswell, New Mexico With Liz, Noah, and Alex in on their lovers’ extraterrestrial secret and the mysterious murderer revealed, the residents of Roswell have new problems to confront in the first season finale, natch. “The question for the Pod Squad becomes what to do next,” says creator Carina Adly MacKenzie.

8PM | CBS — The Neighborhood On the season finale, Calvin (Cedric the Entertainer) and Dave’s (Max Greenfield) trip to a country club tees up a convo about white privilege. Will it drive a wedge between them or will they be on par with each other? 10PM | HBO — Gentleman Jack Based on a true story and her own diaries, Anne Lister wants to refurbish the historic home she inherited. Just one problem: She wants to marry her female lover...oh, and it’s 1832 England.

STREAMING AMAZON PRIME VIDEO — Bosch On the season premiere things aren’t looking good for this LAPD homicide detective (Titus Welliver): He brought his mother’s killer to justice, but did he plant evidence? And a Hollywood pharmacy murder is a prescription for peril.

8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. | CBS — Life in Pieces Kristen Baldwin gave the season premiere a B+. The best family comedies are the ones that celebrate the truth: Most of the time, families are an ordeal. CBS’ underappreciated sitcom returns for a fourth season with two episodes: In the premiere, the Short clan heads to a subpar Mexican resort—think vampire bats and hole toilets—for Joan (Dianne Wiest) and John’s (James Brolin) 50th anniversary.
