We always hinge the quality of a sequel on whether or not it outdoes the original. Jaws 2 however makes a strong case that you can still be a good movie even if you're not the bigger fish.

We have a whale of a tale to tell you, lads. About a grade A moron who was told to not do the thing and he does that thing not realizing he just pissed off the Charles Bronson of Killer Whales. What transpires next is a wild and delirious nature strikes back film where the whale is the hero on this one!

It could be said that that when it comes to movies demonizing one of nature's finest predators, Frank Marshall's Arachnophobia did for spiders what Jaws did for sharks. But Jaws didn't have John Goodman with highly corrosive pesticide. Today, we spotlight what is widely considered to be the gold standard in killer spider movies.

Nature Strikes Back (Again) Month continues and for this week, this particular Anaconda doesn't care if you got buns or not. It doesn't even care if you have a ponytail and a nondescript accent. It doesn't care about your critical pretensions. This Anaconda is a good ol' fashioned creature feature at it's finest.

Nature Strike Back Again for the month of July and we kick off with a film that took an urban legend and made a film that endeavored to be more than just a Jaws ripoff movie. For the most part, it succeeds.

Before we leave the month of June we wanted to acknowledge the other parental figure commonly associated with household. To do that, we're spotlighting probably the most nightmarish father figure in horror history. Creepiest part of all... it was inspired on a true story.

We resume our discussion on the lesbian vampire subgenre with the film that has widely considered to be one of the best of its kind. Which between an abusive director and a tense, uncomfortable set, it's quite impressive that DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS is a masterpiece. of the subgenre.
