Most people would retire from sports if they had three consecutive ACL injuries that required a year off from the game they love. You couple that with a global pandemic that cancels your season, and you get 1,789 days away from basketball.

That was what Jelani Williams was up against this season, as he led the Howard Bison Men's Basketball Team to their first MEAC championship in 31 years punching their ticket to the NCAA Tournament and a matchup against defending national champion Kansas.
