Stu Watts chats with Zak Knight, who is a producer, mixer, engineer & musician who loves emotive music, a great vocal, and pushing the limits of how dense you can make a mix. Zak worked alongside Chris Themelco at Monolith Studios in Thomastown, Vic from 2017-2020., and since 2019 Zak has run Earthtide Studios, a small production house, focused on creating huge, out of this world music.
Throughout his career Zak has produced, engineered and/or mixed projects for Frontier Season, Colour & Shade, Elements, Buried in Silence, Trigger, Chasing Lana, CAMXN and Tides Collide, and more.
Zak has also started sharing his production knowledge online through tutorials and one-on-one mentoring, and has recently launched a vocal production powerhouse course "Extreme Vocal Production", focusing on educating and guiding up and coming producers on the art of vocal production.
