Follow Gozi

Gozi is a golden tiger fairly new to the furry platform, but has already made a name for himself. After calling out bad actors in the community on Twitter he typically tries to do his part in spreading the word on small time creators using the platform he's built for himself, knowing how hard it really is. 
Honestly he's someone I've started to personally look to when everyone else seems crazy. Though, I guess everyone's got a little crazy in them, right? 
This episode in particular notes a bit of a format change as we pivot into interviews focused on small content creators while retaining that tangy, zesty, dose of reality.

Being black and gay growing up in Louisiana isn't easy, but as we weave the conversation from one outrageous situation to the next I come to understand how he came to be the friend I know him as today. We discuss discovering sexuality, how cops are viewed by minorities and what it means to have representation in the furry fandom.

Follow Jason Blade 

A conversation about the furry documentary "The Fandom" really got the ball rolling down inequality at furcons whether it be within staff or panels on the floor. It was a pleasure to chat with Jason Blade and get his perspective, and personal insight into the funny ways sexuality happens. Okay, most people don't get started from Typhlosion x Tyrannitor smut, but I digress. 

There's a lot to learn here in terms of understanding the other side of the tracks.

On June 28th, 2020 I interviewed a "furry model" so to speak. He's got a wardrobe full of endless outfits, the ever mysterious tiger-elk Dyson! This one was a fun ride, and though there were serious moments, it's was still packed full of goofiness. As you'd expect! We talked about everything from goo monsters, to racial injustice, to being the 'favorite sibling. Buckle in for episode #2 of the "What's the Fuzz?!" podcast.

BIPOC FURRY EVENTS

On June 20th, 2020 I interviewed a good friend of mine whom I speak with regularly. It turned out to be one of the deepest, and heart wrenching interviews yet where I found myself learning more about him as the interview went on. It's a great start to the official, "What's the Fuzz?!" podcast!

Since I am mixed, black and Mexican, and John is a black man it didn't take long into trading stories things started to get heavy. I learned things about my friend through this interview that, honestly, I didn't think I'd ever know otherwise. Though it may prove difficult to be a white listener as we share experiences and talk about what the BLM movement means to us, I'm asking you to let things turn over in your mind.

I was asleep for a long time before I woke up.
