Touchdown! Goal! Homerun! Football Is Gay! The Court welcomes producer -- and now HOST -- Brian to talk all things sporty and his new podcast 4th and 8, now streaming everywhere. The gang discusses the jumbotron-sized social faux pas that is the Kiss Cam, recounts nightmares of the Presidential Fitness Tests, and debates whether an odd-numbered Olympics should be “out of the question”. Get ready for a first-time verdict sweep and a bunch of sports talk that gets deep! Follow @the4thand8podcast for more of Brian’s hosting and more sports news, and be sure to tune in for an upcoming crossover EVENT featuring your What’s the Verdict hosts!
It’s Nick’s birthday!!! And the pod is officially thirty (episodes in), flirty, and thriving!!! After a dramatique surprise featuring Judgies of the past, Nick indulges The Court with his love of birthdays and Jess shares her struggles with the Swift-Gyllenhaal Effect. Cancer Szn has everyone tight in its grasp as the team gets INTO it with birthday-related verdicts on grocery store cakes, Facebook events, and birth charts. The Tits get a little ~sappy and nostalgic~, and the Tats force states, and one very specific city’s NBA team name, to go sit in a corner and think about what they’ve DONE. If you agree that a cake is a cake, Facebook events do more harm than good, and finding out the specific latitude and longitude of where someone was born is fun...the stars may very well be aligned for us ;) Be sure to check out Nick’s white teeth and wish him a Happy Birthday, and follow @theverdictpod on Twitter and Instagram for more flirty fun!
Can YOU name three of our past Tat section titles? Do YOU remember in which episode our theme song first dropped? Is YOUR mind a steel trap? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then The Court would love to introduce you to Rachel Oshrin! As the pod’s #1 fan (it’s in writing) and the creator of the Quarantrivia Empire, Rachel describes what it was like to build the online trivia platform, watch it grow, and join a couple of niche Facebook groups along the way. The group discusses themed parties (with tales of beef jerky, ballgowns, Buckleys and Bailey’s cakes), debates cheese’s right to be in salad, and deconstructs the trailer for indie darling Nicolas Cage’s new film, Pig (WHERE is Little Miss Truffle?!). Rosh comes prepared with evidence for this week’s Tit round, and the Tats sting...but not in the ways you think. If you have baggage, commit to a bit, and hate Manifest, #LetRoshKnow and be sure to follow her on Instagram and Twitter @racheloshrin!
A Happy Belated Mare of Easttown Day to you and yours, and sending all our love to the Little Zeppies following the news of your fave being cancelled! The Court Welcomes Professional Plus One, dear friend of the pod, and Jess’ old flame, Jon Ginsburg, to the court. After quelling the famous rumor that men and women can’t be friends and date for a couple of weeks in tenth grade, not speak to each other, feel bad about it, and then be friends again, Jon discusses the BOUNTY from our Lorde, “Solar Power”, debates the Lin-Manuel-Miranda-verse, and defends his stance on listening to podcasts while working out. Then, stay tuned for an absolute BOMBSHELL of a reveal in the Tit section (seriously, we cannot pile on enough about how HUGE this is)!!! This Little Judgie came ready to FIGHT, so get your gloves and your spicy cheesesteaks out, Pauls and Mayweathers! We’re DEBATING today! For more of Jon’s culture recommendations and tales of love and loss, follow him on Twitter and Instagram @JAGinsburg5!
t’s another Lazy Girls’ Hang this week on What’s the Verdict?, and OK, we love this one! After Nick and Jess check-in, everyone gives the Delco accent their best shot and Nick breaks form and issues a poll to the Judgies. In this week’s theme Emails from Hell, the Court goes through the absolutely bonkers cases that corporations are trying to plead in your Inboxes. From Groupon’s vague attempt at taking you out for salad, to the DNC getting Veep-level desperate, to Levi’s “doing the work”, to Big Daddy-Brother Old Navy straight up domineering us into buying sweatpants....let’s just say Jess took a course on how to write an email, Nick knows the definition of a subject line, and we have some THOUGHTS for these companies’ marketing teams! Jess’ Tit gets grilled by some damning evidence (Exhibit B: Glee Season 2, Ep 7!) and Nick drops an afffirmational bombshell...WINK! Then, stick around for Tats to hear some ill-informed sports talk, which Brian swoops in and saves (Stream 4th & 8, coming soon!) in the nick of time. If these EMails from Hell made you want to primal scream a la Chubbies, be sure to follow us @theverdictpod on Instagram and Twitter for even more subject line faux pas, and be sure to leave subscribe and leave us a review…”Please.” ;)
Cool Girl Alert!! We’re joined by New Advertising Major, resident Gen Z expert, and sister of our very own Producer Brian, Elyse Cory! After Elyse and Brian roast each other and share embarrassing sibling tales (cue the bleep buttons!), a HUSH falls over the courtroom. A hush so silent...you could hear a pickle crunch?! Elyse lends her advertising knowledge on Kim Kardashian's commercials for Skims -- which are NOT what you’re thinking, if your head also ended up in the gutter along with Jess’! Then, the Corys and Nick tell not one, not two, but THREE traumatic waterpark stories (don’t worry, it hasn’t stopped anyone from going back) and everyone plugs a waterpark movie. Tits this week are brave, surprising, and TASTY, and the Tats are silly, sad, and ANGRY. As an homage to dads watching you watch TV everywhere, make sure to grab a Manhattan and lurk in the doorway as you listen to this unmissable episode, and ALSO make sure to learn more about Elyse’s adventures as a college Cool Girl on Instagram @elyseecory!.
A music drop bigger than SOUR?!? You better believe it, Judges! This week, the Court welcomes singer, songwriter, and nontouple (that’s NINE) threat, Ellie Swartz to the pod to discuss her new EP, run -- streaming everywhere now (seriously, go listen...it’s so good)! Ellie devotes the rest of her press tour stop to spend time with Nick and Jess discussing the RANGE of La Croix, the ORIGINS of Hot Girl Summer (we thank you, Megan Thee Stallion), and the eclectic cast of YET ANOTHER Cinderella story. In the Tits of the Week, Ellie brings more than her stunning voice to the table (and to literally every gathering), Nick slathers up, and Jess continues to spread the word of our Lorde. Meanwhile, the Tats are riddled with disclaimers! Are YOU a rich person...or someone just looking to have a Hot Girl Summer? If you answered yes to either, listen to Ellie Swartz’s beautiful new EP at the link below and follow her @ellieeswartz on Instagram and Twitter for more of what’s to come from this rising star!

Happy Hunger Games/Tax Day! The Court welcomes absolute LEGEND, Vivian Cruz-Rivera, to approach the bench (yes, kids...hot dogs are “sacks of joy”) and discuss tales from YA reads past... and present, if we’re counting Twilight from Edward’s POV and a sympathetic President Snow prequel. Hands up if your school took you on a class trip to see Edward Cullen in the sparkly flesh?! Because Vivian’s did, and she sure wasn’t impressed by it! Then, everyone takes a hard line stance on the title of Aly & AJ’s fabulous new summer album (it’s another novel, tbh) and peeps around their Venmo feeds for some juicy narratives. In the Tits section, Nick drops THE line of the year, and, in Tats, Vivian gets called under questioning when it comes to her flavor choices. For more of this LEGEND’S exposé, check her out on Instagram @vivian_a_cruzrivera, and be sure to follow/subscribe to What’s the Verdict! Because in following and subscribing... that says everything.
It’s another Lazy Girls Hang on the pod! We’re soooo lazy this week that we asked YOU to send in our verdict submissions for us...and the people have spoken! After dissecting the etymology of the name Brian (or B-Rian, if you will) and then forcing B-Rian himself to listen to “Sour Candy”, Nick and Jess go awwwwwf. The Circle! Ted Lasso! Manifest! SNL! MUSIC!!!! -- you wanted to discuss, so we DISCUSS, Judgies. Then the Lazy Girls show up having done their HOMEWORK on their tits and tats this week. If we were actually at a sl'over, who would you place bets on falling asleep first? Would you have let that woman cut in and out of line at the grocery store as many times as Jess did? Can Nick work a rolled bandana around the neck with a tee? We thank you again for your participation this week, Little Judgies, so let’s keep a good thing going! Follow on Twitter and Instagram @theverdictpod and leave us a review to let us know YOUR thoughts!
Calling all Beliebers and lovers of ceramic tissue boxes with nonsense minimalist sayings! The Court welcomes bonafide hustler and bad girl Erin Bradford to discuss not only her delightful new series Plant Moms, but also her illustrious career as an Alcoholic Kombucha Sample Girl with a dark past. The judges analyze Justin Bieber’s Instagram captions, happiness, and Erin’s fascination about his life with Hailey. Then, everyone LIVES. LAUGHS. LOVES. and TREASURES?! while absolutely going in on the Rae Dunn phenomenon. The tits come from the heart (stream ‘White Dress’!) and tats get everyone riled up. To learn more about Bad Girl’s Trader Joe’s must haves, follow her at @3rinBradford on Instagram, and for updates on Plant Moms, be sure to check out the series on Instagram at @plantmomsseries!
