The runway from Sunday’s fatal plane crash has reopened at Laguardia Airport. A Port Authority spokesperson said that the runway has been inspected and repaired to meet FAA guidelines. Since Monday, the plane wreckage has been on the tarmac, blocking one of the two runways at the airport.

A Bronx high school student has been released from federal custody after almost 10 months in a Pennsylvania ICE facility. A New York judge ordered City Council employee Rafael Rubio to be deported to Venezuela. Rubio was detained by ICE in January during a routine immigration appointment and has been held without bail since. WFUV’s Siena Reinders reports.

New York lawmaker and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called out the Pentagon’s budget request for 200 billion dollars to keep funding the ongoing war with Iran. Earlier today, a senior White House official told the AP anonymously that the request for more funding has been sent.
