What's Your Mount Rushmore?

This is a special episode with a special guest! We are joined by our old friend, Dave Ryan from the popular Dave Ryan in the Morning Show. Dave has been a Twin Cities staple on 101.3 KDWB for more than 30 years! Mark and Jon both worked with Dave for many years and were honored to have him join us.

When you think of duos, musical acts usually come to mind. Hall & Oates, Sonny & Cher, Simon & Garfunkel. We're taking all those acts out of the mix and focusing on duos who work together in something OTHER than music. Some of our picks are real people, some are fictional characters. But all of them have entertained us over the years.

Who doesn't love Mob themed movies? Fuhgeddaboudit!!

It's one of our favorite movie genres and we had a blast listing out our favorite mob themed movie characters. Some of the characters and the actors who played them are Oscar winners... and in some cases from Oscar winning movies.

As long as there have been uniforms, there have been sports logos. And some of the logos on our lists have been around a long time - even back to the beginning of their teams. We only had one rule... we had to pick one logo from each of the four major pro leagues: NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB.

Mount Rushmore of TV Theme Songs 📺

We both grew up in front of the TV and probably to this day watch more than we should. One thing many of today's TV shows lack, is a classic and memorable theme song. And the theme songs from the past were usually part of a cool opening segment to the TV show which made you excited to watch the show!

A few of the TV shows we talk about are all time favorite shows of ours, and some of them are probably not in the top 20. But they still had awesome theme songs. Put down the remote and join us for this fun episode!

In this episode we we're joined by our good friend Chris Hawkey from The Power Trip morning show on KFAN radio in Minneapolis. Much like us, Hawk is a HUGE music fan and a rock star in his own right. He's been the singer for Rocket Club and the Chris Hawkey Band over the years and has played stages all over the country.

When you think about all the musical artists with animal related names, the list gets pretty long. The list includes many Grammy Award winning artists, bands in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and plenty of pop culture icons. So how do you narrow that massive list down to your four favorites? That was our task in this episode, and we stand by our picks.

In this episode we tackle 1980s Comedy Movies. Some may say it was the last great decade of comedies. Think about all those classics! Movies like Airplane, Stripes, Trading Places, Ghostbusters, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Caddyshack, Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, Christmas Vacation, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, The Princess Bride, Big, Sixteen Candles and dozens more. WOW! We each had a very hard time narrowing it down to just FOUR picks.

Every American has gone through points in their lives where they frequented a favorite fast food restaurant. Maybe as a kid after school, maybe in college when it was a quick & cheap meal. Or maybe you bring your kids there now. Whether you still visit those places as an adult or not, you probably still have your favorites... just like us. This episode has some serious debate and things get a little heated over the deep fryer!
