Welcome back to the new and improved What's Your Whole Thing?! After a long break, we record without a plan and end up talking about WAP and WAPs of history. Also up for discussion: the history of sexually explicit art, explicit songs by men, our favorite ho-ish songs, Dinah Washington's WAP, helpful info about vaginal health (of course we had to go there), and the self-clowning of Ben Shapiro. We are so glad to be back! (We are using new podcast software and the sound is excellent).
Warning, FYI: in the beginning, Jasmine recounts a disturbing scene from The Silence of the Lambs.
THE SOUND IS BETTER. Thank you for your patience. In this episode, we discuss the importance of travel in our lives. Topics include the importance of rest, why "I'm Still Standing" was Jasmine's theme song after 6 months in Ghana, when you don't feel "at home" anywhere, Erica's adventures in Prague and her New Orleans connection, why travel just ain't for the rich, white saviourism in service trips, when tattoos make you a criminal, and Erica's close encounter with Flava Flav and a sexy male porn star.
Gonna dedicate this one to Jasmine's ancestors who gave us both the travel bug.
In part two of our grief, loss and death episode we discuss how we honor our departed loved ones, the best thing anyone could say at our funerals, Jasmine's funeral plans, who can't get a plate at the repast, queer community grief, pet loss, and the number one reason a family deserves to be haunted. This episode is dedicated to Shy, Poseidon, and Andre.
This is the first of two episodes in which we discuss death, grief, and loss. It's been a big theme in both of our lives, and maybe yours, too. We define Pain Tour, Death Weirdo, and Grief Brain- all terms we've coined over the years. We talk about how we cope and get through it. We make jokes. We references 80's and 90's music. This episode is dedicated to Bill Oglesby, Bob and Margie Bell, Madelyn Noel, Christine Ambrose, and Addison Holl.
Erica reviews Killjoy's Kastle, the lesbian feminist haunted house, and Jasmine reviews the 2015 movie The Witch (spoiler: she's pissed) and a previous trip to Salem, MA. We go deep into a discussion about the intersections of horror and race, offering Jordan Peele mad ideas. Then we tell our own ghost stories, read some friend and family ghost stories, talk about how children are creepy, and scare the shit out of each other and hopefully you. Happy Halloween!!!

In this episode, we introduce ourselves, lay out our vision for the podcast, bring mimosas to a 9:45am showing of Hustlers, go in on discussing the movie, and try and fail to actually name the podcast.
Original beats by Daniel Brown of Ownmonywrldwide.
Thanks to Steve Roche and Erin Zimmerman for advising the podcast n00bs. The sound will be better next time, we promise.
