We kicked off our epic journey from Boulder, WY to Island Park, ID — complete with canals, cozy RV vibes, and yes, a thunderstorm with a mountain view. But the real magic started when we finally entered Yellowstone National Park — a dream I’ve had since I was a kid!
From geysers that shoot sky-high and rainbow-colored springs, to surprise wildlife sightings like bison traffic jams, mama grizzlies, and even a mountain goat grazing high on the cliffs — it was one jaw-dropping moment after another. We chased waterfalls, dodged snowstorms in May (seriously!), made new friends over bingo and tacos, and marveled at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
Top it off with huckleberry chocolates, and crystal-clear lakes — we had a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

🚐 Rolled into Boulder, WY after a 7% grade descent—slow and steady in a 45-ft home on wheels! 🏔️
Passed through Steamboat Springs, spotted pronghorn antelope, and landed at Highline Trail RV Park—spacious, simple, and full of tree debris our pup wore like Velcro. 😂🐾
Next stop: Jackson Hole! Lunch at Café Genevieve, photos under the famous elk antler arches, and breathtaking views at Jenny Lake + Jackson Lake Dam.
We saw elk, bison, and… YES—moose! 🫎
After one unforgettable wildlife show, we’re off to Island Park, ID—just 30 mins from Yellowstone. The adventure rolls on! 🌄
From Texas Storms to Colorado Snowcaps
Join us as we kick off our journey to Granby, Colorado! We faced torrential weather in Post, Texas, then made overnight stops at Twin Pine RV Park in Slaton and Coyote Keeth’s in Clayton, NM—where the sunshine was a welcome sight. Along the way, we passed Capulin Volcano, crossed the breathtaking Berthoud Pass, and tackled a tricky detour through winding mountain roads.
In Granby, we stayed at Sun Outdoors with gorgeous views, spacious sites, and great amenities. We explored Lake Granby, Grand Lake, and nearby towns like Winter Park and Steamboat Springs—enjoying delicious meals, scenic drives, and even a snowy surprise. A visit to Rocky Mountain National Park capped off the week before we continued our adventure north to Wyoming.
Back in New Braunfels! We kicked it off with good friends, lots of food, and catching up (finally — after my Christmas detour to the ER). Camp Landa brought new friends, pool days, and plenty of laughs.
Gruene adventures included chicken & waffles, my friend rocking Gruene Hall, and epic board game battles. I even survived a defibrillator surprise (talk about dramatic)!
We celebrated Mardi Gras, Alan’s 70th, and St. Patrick’s Day, ate way too much crawfish, and soaked up all the small-town magic — flowers, sunsets, Clydesdales, and a Randy Rogers surprise acoustic show.
Ready to hit the road again!
A quick pit stop in Lubbock, then off to Fort Worth! We hung out with prairie dogs at the Ft Worth Nature Center, celebrated our anniversary with epic views (and food!) at Crown Block, and devoured smash burgers at Crystal Springs Hideaway. Wrapped it all up with a peaceful stroll through the Botanic Garden. Now, we’re rolling back to New Braunfels—because life on wheels is never boring!
We kicked off our adventure at Meteor Crater RV Parrk! Then, made our way to Winslow, AZ (yep, the “Take It Easy” corner from the Eagles!). Got our Route 66 fix and a tasty lunch at The Relic.
We left Coarsegold, CA, stopped at Orange Grove RV Park 🍊 for amazing fresh oranges, then headed to Vegas! 🎰 We stayed at Oasis RV Resort near the Strip, explored Fremont Street 🌟, saw the Bellagio fountains 🌈, and enjoyed incredible meals at Mon Ami Gabi 🥖 and Ocean Prime 🥩🦞. We also checked out Silverton’s aquarium 🐠, shopped for winter gear 🛍️, and indulged in crepes 🥞 and macarons 🍪. A wind advisory 🌬️ extended our stay, giving us more time to soak in the sights. On our way out, we passed beautiful Lake Mead 🌊—can’t wait to visit in the summer! Off to Arizona next! 🚐✨
Where is your favorite place on the Strip? 🏙️
Coarsegold, California, welcomed us with its Gold Rush charm and forested beauty! A planned one-week stay at the 141-acre Park of the Sierras turned into three weeks filled with line dancing, Christmas lights, and unexpected challenges.
Midway through a Christmas show, I collapsed on stage—cardiac arrest. Thanks to quick heroes with an AED, I’m here, recovering with a defibrillator and a grateful heart. Healing hasn’t been easy, but moments like Yosemite’s breathtaking Bridalveil and Yosemite Falls, a Christmas duet, and Oreo gingerbread houses brought joy through it all.
Special thanks to the angels who saved me—you gave me a second chance to chase life’s adventures.
Here’s to heartbeats, heroes, and the beauty of living. 🌙
What’s your favorite part of a vacation adventure—scenic drives, small-town charm, or ocean views? 🚐🌊✨
We just wrapped up an unforgettable journey from Palm Desert to Jojoba Hills RV Resort in Aguanga, CA. The adventure started with a nerve-wracking climb up Highway 74—4,485 feet in elevation, tight curves, and breathtaking mountain views. Alan handled it like a pro while I held my breath!
From the festive vibes of Old Town Temecula (dog menus for Khan!) to seals sunbathing in La Jolla and the beauty of Laguna Beach, every stop was magic. Perfect weather, amazing food, and memories to last a lifetime. California never disappoints!
What’s been your most scenic vacation destination?🌟
Hello, Palm Desert! We kicked off Thanksgiving week with sunsets that felt like paintings. Our RV home? Coachella Lakes RV Resort—peaceful lakes and mountain views.
Thanksgiving highlights included prime rib with “framily,” cheering for the Cowboys, and Lainey Wilson’s halftime show. A trip to Boozehounds let Khan enjoy a pup-friendly treat, while we soaked up the Palm Springs vibe and its Hollywood charm.
We ended our trip with Coachella’s magical Christmas lights.
