Have you ever felt like you’re not skilled enough to serve God? In the Gospels, we’re introduced to Philip. He wasn’t a man with impressive abilities, but what made him stand out was his availability. In John 6, when faced with feeding over 5,000 people, Jesus tested Philip, asking, Where are we to buy bread? Philip did the math and concluded that they didn’t have enough money. But Jesus didn’t ask Philip to solve the problem. He wanted Philip to trust Him. It’s a lesson for all of us: God isn’t looking for people with all the answers. He’s looking for people who are willing to trust Him, even when things seem impossible. So today, remember: God values your availability more than your ability. Are you available for Him?
