When God Was Queer

In today's episode we're doing a deep dive on the myths surrounding the creation of humankind and the various genders the gods saw fit to create and the roles they ascribed. First we'll take a look at androgyny and the idea of the third gender in Ancient Greece. Then we'll explore the role the nadleehi played in the Navajo creation epic. After that it's way back to the Fertile Crescent for my favorite myth of all time! Remember: be gay, do crime; the gods are always watching!

In today's episode we're covering various interpretations of theism, the Primal Androgyne as the first human or the first god and the ways in which existing beyond the binary has been seen as powerful. Remember: be gay, do crime; the gods are always watching!

In our inaugural episode we'll deal with introductions and then do some digging on just what it is we'll cover in this series, as well as what led to its creation. Remember: be gay, do crime; the gods are always watching!
